Ialu sat on his knees, and stayed put, listening to the Er Rit's command with a furious nod. He tried his best to put on a serious face, but he kept breaking out into small giggles, and glancing at Keiani. The egyptian boy probably looked like a mess about now. His eyes were still red from when he had cried earlier, and the small blood spots on his arms were drying where the nurse failed to see them. At least the drugs were making him loony enough to calm down from his freak out.
The boy began to sway from side to side, getting bored with sitting still. Plus he really needed to go to the bathroom. "Kitty! I need to go to the bathroom!" He whined with a small "hee!" added to the end.
He launched himself at the other boy once more, gripping onto the front of his shirt, and waggling his butt. "Bathroom! Bathroom!" he chanted merrily. The albino boy was nice. Nice and warm! Ialu wanted to be warm right now...

Kei's ears drooped in relief as Ialu seemed to be content to obey. Dealing with people really wasn't his strong point. Especially not people who kept launching at him.
Granted the respite was rather brief, almost as if the thought had jinxed it. He suppressed a groan as Ialu started speaking again, the back of his mind noting with something between amusement and annoyance that he appeared to have been dubbed 'Kitty' by Ialu's mind on drugs... Well it was better than some things he supposed, and at least he'd know when Ialu was back to normal by when the other boy would actually remember his name.
Granted right now he had an entire different sphere of problems. Which exentuated when his roommate was suddenly clinging to him again. Kei froze, then grabbed at Ialu's shoulders to pull the other boy so he was sitting straight, twisting his head to look at Ialu's face through his good eye. "You need to do that yourself." He said, trying to sound stern but probably sounding more rather overwhelmed... not that it really mattered right now.
And he sure as hell knew that he wasn't going to be helping the other boy. If worst came to worst he'd go find the nurse; she knew how to deal with stuff like this... at least he hoped.
Kei moved back a little bit, sliding one leg down off of the bed and attempting to pull Ialu with him. "You have to get down now."

"Okay!" he chirped and hopped off the bed, skipping to the door. He opened the door, and jetted towards the bathroom, swerving left and right and knocking down unsuspecting boys who were carrying large boxes to some classrooms. He giggled all the day to the bathroom, and bounced once he got to the door.
Ialu went to the bathroom with speed (some janitors were most likely going to be unhappy..) and bounded back to the infirmary, jumping on the bed once he arrived. He smiled widely at Keiani, and he laid down on the bed, feeling tired now. He stared at his roommate silently for a long time before he grinned, "Pretty! Pretty~~~"

As Ialu ran out the door Kei realized that it probably hadn't been the best idea to let him go randomly out like that... but there really wasn't any helping it. Literally, no helping it. He had no idea where the bathrooms were, and actually catching up with the boy would be impossible. Even if there was even a slight possibility that being drugged would slow Ialu down enough for Kei to catch up... his sight made that fairly impossible.
He winced, sitting on the edge of Ialu's bed and pressing a hand over his forehead as he heard a crash in the hallway, hoping that it wasn't Ialu getting into trouble. Or hurting himself. Hurting himself would be really bad too.
As the door opened again Kei moved from the bed, first relieved that Ialu appeared to have not killed himself nor gotten near there, then was relieved that instead of launching for him the black haired boy went for the bed. He edged back into the chair, watching the other boy out of his good eye as it looked like his roommate was maybe drifting off to sleep.
Feeling even more relieved, he collapsed down in the chair, after a moment curling up much like he had been when Ialu had first awoken. He kept his eye on the other boy, but it slowly closed as he drifted into something of a half slumber -- the type that really didn't provide any rest since he wouldn't reach REM sleep --, wondering rather haphazardly if Ialu actually thought he was pretty or just had an odd obsession with cats while drugged... Though it definitely seemed to be the latter.

Ialu struggled to stay away, and wiggled the last of his energy out, finally blinking sleepily. The medicine's second effect was starting to kick in, and the boy was soon gonna be knocked out into a deep sleep. The tanned boy whined and reached out for Keiani, mistaking him for his mother in his drugged up and sleepy state.
"Nn, mom..," he cried out, starting to feel lonely. "Mom... I don't wanna sleep alone .. tonight." The boy yawned and rubbed at his face, relaxing his body against the bed's mattress. Outside the sun was at it's hottest and highest, but the infirmary's room was cool and the curtain that the nurse had pulled was blocking out the rays. Finally slipping under the covers somehow, Ialu fell asleep.

Kei's eyes flickered back open as Ialu called out, staring at what appeared to be the other boy's hand stretched out towards him and smothering a grin as he put the two together. His mind flickered back to what the boy had been saying earlier. Definitely the drugs. Dang, if he ever wanted to really embarrass Ialu for some reason all he'd have to do was tell him about the last ten or so minutes... except he didn't think he'd actually do so. Being silently amused and a little weirded out by it (more weirded out before, but now he wasn't being assaulted) was one thing, using it to essentially be mean was another completely. It wasn't like any of it was what Ialu really thought anyway.
Sighing a little, he curled back up, ignoring the other boy except to make sure he was actually situating for sleep and not coming to pull Kei's tail or something before drifting off himself...
------------------
He was awoken by a hand shaking at his shoulder, glancing up in utter confusion as to where he was. The purple of the dress above him clued him in. "Oh, I feel asleep."
"Yes, that you did. Not exactly the best babysitting strategy but it seems to have worked out for the best. I suppose your friend just passed out immediately and hasn't moved?" By that point she was facing away from him, looking towards Ialu, so he just let her think that. Probably better that way.
The blob glanced back towards him, "And I have time so before you head off to lunch I'm checking that eye of yours. God knows if I'll be able to drag you in here sans some emergency on your friends part. Just let me check him over first."

Ialu was having a pleasant dream, and he inhaled and exhaled with deep breathes.
"Mommma, I'm tired. And hungry!" he whined as he rubbed his eyes with one hand, the other occupied with holding his mother's hand. The desert day was cooler than usual, and a few clouds drifted past the sun in the sky. Vultures swooped down lazily, looking for prey.
"You'll definitely like this! Just hold on with momma a little bit longer!" she smiled down at him, patting his head. It was another ten or so minutes until the mother and child reached their destination. There were dense patches of green and Ialu turned his head at it. He clutched at his mother's hip, feeling scared all of the sudden. She smile d again and hugged his small frame to hers. "It's okay honey! Just walk a bit more!'
They walked on through a strange new terrain that the small six year old boy had never seen before. Long palm trees bent their tops towards the clear water, and the small boy's eyes widened. "Whooooah!"
His mother gave a hearty laugh, moving her hair out of her eyes, and placing both hands on his shoulders. "Do you wanna go up to it?" He nodded, and ran to the waters edge, brushing his fingers in it.
"It's real! It's not a.. a. mi-mi.."
"Mirage? Mmhmm! Found it a few weeks ago! I thought it should be our secret!"
"But what if the tribe needs water?"
"Ahh, there are plenty of watering spots. But this oasis is just for us! Okay?" She reached out her hand to him, pulling up a pinky. He wrapped his own around hers, and they smiled at each other, happy that they had a new secret place. Slowly, his mother morphed into Keiani, and Ialu suddenly grew in age.
The albino boy reached down to touch the egyptian's face with gentleness. He leaned in and Ialu felt his heart racing, but he shut his eyes and..
He woke up.

It seemed to be all too soon that the nurse was done checking Ialu, apparently not bothering to ask the boy anything -- Kei wasn't sure if he was still asleep or just being silent -- before she ascertained whatever she was looking for and turned towards him, gesturing for him to follow as she swept out from the curtains surrounding the bed.
As he came out she was picking something up from inside a cupboard , then hesitated. "I need to check your retina, but I don't think I'll be dilating your eyes unless Ialu's awake and sober enough to lead you back to your dorm with your eyes closed. It's a rather bright day today..." She rooted around in a drawer for a moment, pulling out something black that he assumed was to look at his eye. "Otherwise you'll just have to come back after it's dark, I'll stay to take a look at it."
The nurse gestured for him to go to the counter, "Hop up there, not exactly the most ideal but better than leaning down to one of the chairs we have in here."
Rather reluctantly Kei complied... though he was rather relieved that there was at least a small chance of not having to be led completely blind across campus. He had hated that when it was just from his normal doctor's office to the small room that his mother had them set aside for him in the same building where he could sleep off the affects of the solution...
He jumped up on the counter, staying still as she did all the routine things to check his eye. Since the sounds she was making were more the damn-this-looks-bad-but-not-worse-than-it-should he assumed that the damage hadn't worsened this time. It was a rather random thing; sometimes it would be worse, sometimes better. Once when he was ten he had actually been able to see real shapes for a three day period (though they'd quickly found that better sight was a very bad sign, since it usually preceded a period of complete blindness then worse sight than he'd had before).
Right as she was finishing and moving to check if Ialu was awake, someone poke his head into the door, asking her to come away for a moment to check something.
"I'm sorry Keiani, I'll be back in around a half hour or so. Don't go anywhere now." She said as she swished out of the room again.
Kei sighed at her retreating back, ears and tail twitching as he jumped off of the counter and edged over to the curtains and poking his head into them, "You awake?" He asked, figuring if he heard giggles that would probably be a clue that Ialu was stilled drugged to the ears.

Ialu stayed silently, recalling what had happened before he had fallen asleep. His face burned red, and he laid on his side so he wasn't facing his roommate. It was so embarrassing. He had actually launched himself at Kei twice. He played with the boys ears. He giggled. A lot. The tanned boy slid further into the covers, not wanting to talk to anyone right now.
Plus he had touched someone, he gulped. Mind you, he was drugged enough to take out a grizzly, but still. Skin contact. Hie head felt like exploding. He hadn't hugged anyone but his mother since he was eight, so it was quite hard for his head to wrap around. Other than that fact, his heart had stopped pounding so hard, and he wasn't hyperventilating. That was the up to the drugs, he supposed.

Kei stayed in the entryway of the curtained off area around the bed for a few moments, waiting for Ialu to reply. When he didn't, the Er Rit sighed again, ears flicking at the sounds of the other boy moving, "Guess not then." He said to himself, moving back to the chair that he had spent the non-insane majority of the time since they'd gotten here in.
Keeping an eye on Ialu, mostly since he figured that the nurse had probably taken it for granted that he'd be watching the other boy, he curled up on the cushion of the chair. It was just too small for him to actually mimic a cat so instead he opted for the same position he had fallen asleep in earlier, with his head resting on the arm of the chair, on one of his own arms.
Really he'd already had far too much excitement for one set of days, between the night before and this morning. Back home his days had generally consisted of sleeping, being dragged awake by his siblings for classes, getting dragged around by them to 'have fun' and subsequently listening to the getting in trouble, getting his eyes checked, and more sleeping...
Here he seemed to constantly have things going on just for a normal day. Maybe it was just that there were so many people around here. His house was, in his mothers words, somewhere between a tranquil haven and the battlefield about to happen that everyone wanted to avoid.
Half grinning at the reason for that last part of his mothers oft muttered statement, he settled down a bit more, watching for his roommate to wake up and letting his mind play through memories of his brother shenanigans.

It was too quiet, and Ialu fidgeted. He still didn't want to talk to Keiani to save himself from having to look at his roommates face after he had glomped him on drugs. But, he pulled back the covers anyhow, and sat up. "I'm awake..," he said slightly regretfully. The silence was killing him, so he had to get up. He stared at his sheets, gripping them tightly, his face reddened and he bowed his head further. "I'm sorry!!" he yelled out, hoping that Kei would understand and not talk about what had happened earlier.
Kei was replying. After a few more moments, Ialu looked up at the Er Rit, feeling worried that the boy was angry at him.

Kei's ears twitched as he heard Ialu moving. He had managed to get more towards his usual sleepy state in the sparse time between when he had settled down and now, so instead of checking to see if the drugs miraculously wore off right as he closed his eyes, he just stayed where he was. It wasn't until Ialu spoke that he cracked open his good eye, glancing over towards his rommate
The Er Rit pushed himself into more of a proper sitting position and ran a hand through his hair (between all that had happened this morning it was probably a complete mess again. He was getting ready to say something, though he figured that it probably wouldn't be too nice to tell Ialu about his antics while drugged so he wasn't going to mention that...
Except that apparently he didn't need to. Kei winced slightly as the other boy yelled, having not been expecting the sudden loud noise. For a few moments he simply sat there, surprised and letting his mind turn over things, before he answered softly, "It's alright."
Shaking a bit more awake he smiled what he hoped was reassuringly at the other boy, "I'm used to my brother acting insane all the time anyway, and he's generally in control of his mind. Just forget about it."

Ialu exhale a sigh of relief. That was good. It didn't look like Kei was going to ask about what happened in the fencing room anytime soon. It had just happened. He didn't expect it. He didn't feel threatened by that blonde boy. Was he losing his usually sharp instincts? He groaned and rubbed his aching head. He could feel a migraine coming on, probably from the drugs.. (again)
"You should probably go. Lunch is about to end," he glanced at the clock. For once, he actually wasn't feeling hungry, but extremely tired. The stomach virus had fatigued him, plus fencing and the freak out was made him exhausted. He sniffed and plopped back down on the bed, wanting to get some rest.

Kei hid a grimace as Ialu mentioned lunch... truthfully he wasn't that hungry, though he didn't doubt that he'd be ravenous for a change come dinnertime... And, well... "I can't. I have to wait for the nurse to get back."
He didn't bother to expand on why he had to wait. Didn't really want to get into explaining that whole can of worms... Really if he could help it he wouldn't be letting Ialu know that he had anything beyond simply bad eyesight unless he got one of his periods of blindness. Granted they'd have warning for that so he would probably end up being sent home until it was over.
For a moment he tilted his head, watching Ialu, "If you're tired still you should sleep. Nuse'll maybe want to keep you here anyway." Granted advice of sleep from him was probably laughable since he always seemed to be doing so... but it was true at least.

Ialu closed his weary eyes, releasing the tension in his shoulders. The bed he was laying on was much smaller than his own on the dorms, but it was softer, and he already felt himself going to sleep. He didn't mind that Kei was staying, especially since he had gotten used to the other boy's presence while he slept.
"Thanks for today...," he spoke in barely a whisper, half embarrassed, half asleep. He probably would be in a much worse condition if it wasn't for the Er Rit's help. He didn't even want to begin to think what that blonde senior would've done to him. With one last yawn, he drifted off into a peaceful sleep.

"You're welcome" Kei answered, fairly automatically, though he wasn't sure whether Ialu was referring to what happened at the sports facitily or getting him here or dealing with him being insane on drugs... Probably the first. The Er Rit frowned suddenly, realizing that he did need to do something about whoever that other boy was... He wasn't sure exactly what he had been doing to Ialu but it couldn't be something good to have made him have a fit like that.
Pushing the problems from his mind, he curled up again. He'd ask the nurse about it... and otherwise he'd mention it to Miss Laney (hey she had to be good for something)... Or maybe his mother once she came, though that might not be the best idea since then it would get back to his brother and he was certain Sal would find out from her and manage to get her and raise all hell. Because that was just what his brother did, which was why Sal wasn't here in the first place...
Sighing he nestled to sleep... feeling as thought he was there only a moment before a hand was shaking at his shoulder. As his eyes flickered open the purple told him who it was.
"I'd say just go ahead and go back." The nurse said, handing him a wrapped bundle, "You've already missed lunch and Ialu appears to be fast asleep still."
Kei shook himself more awake, gingerly taking what felt like a sandwich from her, "Alright..." He paused, remembering his earlier thoughts, "About that guy I told you about..."
"I'll ask around and find out who he is." She answered, pulling him from the chair, since he apparently was taking to long. "You run along now, I'll be in here to keep an eye on your roommate, and don't forget to come back once it's dark."
He slipped from the chair, simply answering "Alright", and figuring that since he was going back to sleep anyways... well he could always say that he had slept too late at least...

Ialu wiped the sweat off his brow before taking a swig from his water bottle. How cruel, he thought. He had just recovered fully from his stomach virus and the fit and the director shoved heavy duty work on him already. "Ialu, we need you over here to move the woods background!" He growled and got up from his sitting position and walked lethargically to the other side of the stage where two boys were struggling to hold the background by themselves. He grabbed a hold of the corner and they all lifted on three, carrying it to the center of the stage.
He stepped back and looked at the scene as a whole. The setting was actually looking pretty good. They only had one more week till the school festival opening, and they were nearly complete with everything. Everyone was working so hard that Ialu barely even had time to talk to Keiani lately. Their schedules were different besides being in the same classes, and normally when he got back to their room, Keiani was fast asleep from working so much.
"Good work everyone! It's lunch break, so let's meet back up in forty minutes to finish the rest of rehearsal!" The director shouted, and Ialu grinned. Fooooooood. He hadn't been able to eat solid foods after his stomach virus, so once he recovered, he ate as much as he could. The set crew were still busy doing behind the scenes check ups, so Ialu didn't bother to wait for his roommate, and walked straight to the dormitory.
On the way there, he could feel someone watching him. He turned around several times in a tensed pose, but he could find no one every time. He brushed it aside and rushed to the dining hall.

Kei wasn't actually doing much right now, mostly sitting in the back helping put away the things from actually building the set pieces. Or grabbing things that he knew where they were when someone yelled to ask for it. The festival was coming up fairly quickly now, so everyone was in a frenzy to get all of the basics set up so they could have a tech day (which was likely to take up an entire weekend, damn thing) and a few full run rehearsals.
According to the stage managers they'd probably end up having to get there earlier and stay later than the actors did, to get the stage cleaned up on both ends and everything in place for the play. Sure, right now they were making the actors help, but according to the rest of the 'techies' that wasn't something to expect come when the actors were more worried about getting themselves out onto stage.
Which meant that he was going to spend the whole time exhausted. Great. At least his mom would be glad he was socializing...
He breathed a sigh of relief as the call for lunch went out, then jumped as a hand descended on his arm, glancing up to see not the assistant's coloring but the stage manager's... What was his name? Kei couldn't ever seem to remember for some reason.
"I have to keep an eye on the equipment for the director so they let me grab some food early, more than enough for two people, want to stay and help me watch things?"
Kei hesitated, not sure if he really wanted to spend even more time with one of the people who seemed determined to dote on him... The older boy held up the bag, shaking it a little, "Seriously, way to much food for just me." He paused, then added, "And I know you've been exhausted so not having to compete with everyone and his brother for food would be good for you."
The Er Rit hesitated again, ears flicking... By now everyone else was already gone... After a few more moments he shrugged, saying "I guess that makes sense.", and following the older boy over to an empty platform to eat.

Ialu had reached the cafeteria early enough to where the lines didn't reach the door. He bounced on his heels as he waited for his tray and food. The room was packed and noisy as teenage boys laughed and threw food at each other.
Jeremiah, the spiky haired boy and childhood friend of Ialu spotted the tanned boy and bounded over with a tray full of food. "Ah! Ialu! How's the play going? I heard you were in it!" the small freshman smiled at him.
"Jeremiah," he hissed and glared at the boy. "What have I told you before?"
"I know, I know. But I was actually coming up to you and ask if you've seen the president around? He was supposed to meet me at lunch so we could talk about the school festival, but he never showed up!"
"How should I know what he looks like?"
"Seriously? His picture's all over school! He's been the best president Lumiina Academy has seen so far!" the boy looked astounded. Ialu wasn't one to actually care what the gossip of the school was. He didn't even know half of his teacher's names.
"Yep. Now go," he turned his attention back to the front of the line, not giving the boy a second look. Jeremiah sauntered off, defeated once again and sat down with a group of young looking boys.
The egyptian finally got his food, and wasn't feeling very up to sitting alone listening to a bunch of jabber around him, so he set across the campus back to the auditorium where the set crew was probably still working.

Kei perched on the edge of the platform, watching rather boredly as the other unpacked the bag of stuff.
"What do you want?" The older boy asked, looking like he was glancing over towards Kei.
"If you have some fruit in there that'll be fine." Kei answered, ears twitching.
The other boy prompted passed over what felt to be an peach, and a small bite confirmed it. Kei glanced out over the theatre, finding it a bit odd how huge it felt without the normal bustle of people going back and forth. He couldn't even hear anything but himself and the other boy as they ate...
... And as the sounds told him that the stage manager was coming closer. He glanced over, but the other boy wasn't looking at him and from what little he could see was just moving around on the platform. At least that's what he thought, and was probably still true, when the other boy spoke again, "You really ought to eat more, you're too little."
The albino scowled at him, taking another bite of his peach, "I just don't eat much."
"Don't eat much to an extreme." The other boy sounded amused, reaching out to brush a bit of juice from the side of Kei's lips before the Er Rit could pull away, "You should take better care of yourself"
