Name of Organization: Cantana Druidic Society
Purpose of Operation: To protect and preserve the natural wilds and wildlife of Cantana. The CDS works to stop pollution, misuse of natural resources, as well as animal abuse, and care for injured wildlife.
Area(s) of Operation: All over Cantana, wherever there is wildlife to watch over.
Membership Limitations: The CDS generally accepts anyone into their ranks as long as they have a clear and strong devotion to nature. All prospective members must be prepared for at least five years of apprenticeship under an officially recognized druid before ascending themselves, however.
Rules of Conduct: All druids are expected to remain neutral in political affairs. That is because the only things they affiliate with outside of each other is people or groups who hold the wild in high esteem. That is not to say an individual druid may not associate with whoever they want; just that the Society is neutral as a whole, and so is the druid supposed to be when acting under their duties.
Brethren and nature comes before strangers.
Sometimes, a druid is assigned to a particular location for protecing and warding, and then may not leave the area without assigning a replacement; even if the leave is just temporary.
Besides the circle’s leader, there is one elder in each region who’s main duty is to oversee the other druids around them. Druids are expected to report to the elders any major problems or changes they find either with the wildlife or the people in the region who handle it.
Major Headquarters: No official one. Although it is said that deep within the forests of Maiorn, that is where the Great Druid keeps his grove.
Additional Facts: One less important duty for stationed druids is to maintain at least one location along travelling roads where adventurers and other travellers can rest without disturbing nature too much. Usually it is a cave or an old shack, sometimes a small grove.
Keywords: Druid, wildlifers, grove.
