I relaxed a bit as we started eating, and I purred a little as I covertly watched Akasha while I ate. When I think of pirates, I usually think of old men with beards and birds on their shoulders, and lots of scars... Maybe that's why he needs to keep control like that?
My thoughts are interrupted when the fruit Akasha was eating falls from his hands- I squeak, startled, as I watch the man worriedly.
"Wha--?"My eyes grow wide as Akasha talks, then haltingly gets to his feet.
I clamber off the chair I'm sitting in and rush after him, tugging on his shirt. "Cap--Aka--Cap'n? Umm... What's goin' on? Can I... Is there anything I can do?"
I don't want to be a sheltered brat all my life... There must be something I'm good at...

Akasha stopped and turned back to look down at the boy. He smiled lightly and leaned down, kissing Hauke deeply. He stroked the boy's cheek slowly, trying to convey as much of his emotion into the kiss as possible. At least as much emotion as someone with half a soul can.
"I promise, I'm fine," Akasha whispered softly. He smiled at Hauke before walking out of his room. He slowly made his way onto the deck and looked over the area. His mind was pounding. His vision was swimming and filled with white in varying degrees of brightness.
The City of Collosae was a mix of ancient and crumbling stone structures and the giant glistening onyx monoliths that were pulsing with energy. Something here was not right. The large city was sitting up on what looked like a hill, with increasing importance placed upon the inner rings. Akasha's eyes were wide. It was a terrifying sight.
"I thought it was an island," Berna murmured, walking forward and standing next to the captain. Akasha scratched the back of his head.
"So did I..." he murmured. He shook his head and looked over the ship. "It looks like a dried lake bed." He sighed and straightened up. "We're walking blind. We need to scout the area." He mumbled under his breath, looking around and rubbing his head slowly. His head was aching.
"Berna, lead a party down in one of the longboats. Scout the east side. Tell Marcus to take another boat and check the west side. No more than twelve hours. Stay low and silent." He waved a hand towards the bow. The dwarf nodded and moved off to take care of everything. Akasha grabbed a passing crew member. "Get people into the riggings. I want eyes on that city constantly. Two hour shifts. Go." The man nodded and ran off.
"I think I'm gonna be sick," Akasha muttered to him self, leaning heavily on the railing. What was this city doing to him?

Surprised, I don't move away when Akasha leans down and presses his lips against mine. I find myself relaxing a little at the contact, but the worry just comes back as Akasha pulls away and I catch sight of the flash of turquoise amongst the red in his eyes.
He's lying... Why? It's just makin' me worry more, not less.
I frown as I watch him leave the room, then shake my head. What can I do? All I'm really good at is being bendy and drawing...
"Ah!" It is then that I remember what Akasha said in the map room, about pens and ink. I rush over to the drawers and pull on them, purring to myself when I find the supplies and pull them out. I hold a couple bottles up, amazed for a moment at the rich colors, then look back down for some pencils. I find them easily enough and grab the whole lot of them, along with my sketchbook, and make my own way outside.
As I cross the deck to where I see Akasha leaning, I shake my head a couple times in mild irritation. There's a constant buzzing, just a the very low end of my hearing. Glancing around, I don't think anybody else notices, but it's like a large, invisible fly droning right next to my ear.
I finally reach Akasha's side and look at him, worried at the pinched look on his face. He's not feeling good... I wonder why? I think for a moment about asking, but remember what he said just a minute ago and instead open my sketchbook to a fresh page.
Attempting to ignore both my worry for the man leaning on the railing next to me and the non-directional humming, I start to accurately sketch the ruins of Collosae.

A minute of darkness was all it took.
Above a piling bed of sand, a small twist of air started to stir. With each spin it grew bigger, stronger, and faster; bringing the soft, fine sand up into the air, the small twister soon turned into a silken tornado reaching two stories in height. Soon after its expansion, the unnatural winds suddenly broke off and disappeared into thin air, leaving the the sand to rain and fall like golden slowflakes.
In the midst of the dry, heavy fog of sand, four living beings seemed to have appeared. The pair of butterfly twins, an albino dragon and their guide stood in the dead golden rain, a sea of ruins that was once a powerful ancient city scattering about in front of them.
They have just entered the city of Collosae.
De stood waiting for the sand to set, his face and posture like a statue and his crimson eyes like jewels of the devil. The dry rain fell on him and ran off his tigerprint robe just as lightly. Some of it seeped between the locks of his hair, but he took no care to get rid of them. The sand attempted to slide between the space between the overlapping bandages on his arms and legs, but it seems that they were bound so tight to his skin that the space was impossible invade.
As soon as the sand left the air, two lesser dragons slithered down the broken fraction of what was once a great wall of Collosae. With blaring eyes they watched the myrmidon, a slow rumble coming up their throats. Abruptly the devilsbride snarled in return, trilling the hollows above his chest to a smooth, deep growl. Now recognizing the red-eyed assassin, the pair of wingless beasts hushed and pulled back their crested heads, turning themselves into living statues. Although motionless, their bright golden eyes followed the group as De lead the their guests past the large walls.
Expression falling blank again, the myrmidon lead them in a defined direction without a single instruction or explanation. Ancient beasts of all sorts, though mostly of lesser dragons, stopped to stare after them. The sandy floor was littered with all sorts of old treasures --- gems, golden art pieces, fractions of antiquity. Though comparing to the ancient city, they only served as small decorations for the grandness that was the ruins.
After quite a walk upon the sand and stones under the near-sunset, they stopped in front of a large ivory tower --- one of the rarer superstructures that still stood in its complete form, appearing like an aged giant standing proud in the sea of his slayed enemies. And De finally spoke, his voice tirelessly bland.
"The being who has requested your presence is in this tower. I shall take my leave now, if you have no further concerns." He spoke to Tuyet, giving his guest the right to confirm the completion of his mission.

Akasha let out a deep breath. He was slowly beginning to be able to see without the white glow that seemed to be drawn towards the city. He took another shuddery breath and cleared his mind. It had been ages since he had felt like that. Not since...
"the incident on the training airship outside of Fasemoor..." a voice muttered in the back of his mind.
"The hell..." Akasha whispered, his eyes wide. He whirled around, only seeing shadows and a faint wisp of dark blue. The captain sighed and leaned back against the railing, trailing a hand across his face.
"Hauke...what are you doing?" he asked softly, moving closer to the boy and breathing deep. He wrapped a hand around the boy's waist and pulled close.

I watch Akasha out of the corner of my eye for a moment while I draw. Something's wrong, but there's no way for me to figure out exactly what it is. So, instead, I sigh and put my full focus on the page in front of me, starting to fill in shadows and what details I can make out from so high up.
I squeak a little and clutch at the pencil in my hand as Akasha's arm wraps around me, and I look up at him a little wide-eyed. I was so intent on drawing, I hadn't seen how close he'd gotten!
"O-oh! Oh, I'm just drawin' the ruins, that's all... Nothin' too special." I angle the sketchbook so Akasha can see, as I feel the inevitable blush heating my face. "I... I just don' like havin' nothin' to do, so I thought I-I'd come out and keep you comp'ny?"
The blush worsens as I try not to fidget too much. Is he always this touchy? 'M not used to it...

Post by Den // Aik on May 6, 2008 23:30:07 GMT -5
Aik fearfully loosened her hands from over her mouth -- where they had clapped after her scream -- and looked around, her eyes widened about as much as they could. She considered herself a fairly brave girl... But honestly being suddenly swallowed up by a sand monster was a bit much to ask for her to stolidly last through.
Granted they appeared to be quite fine here. Almost automatically her eyes flickered up to the sky, her first thought being that at least they had air above them to flutter into should they need to reach safety. Her second thought... Well her eyes certainly weren't jeweled, but they did glitter a bit as she realized that the ground was so littered. Gold and jewels and all that, bah, she didn't need that. Having that just made people think (rightfully so) that she had stolen it. No, what passed through her mind was that where there was treasure there were usually random things that could come in useful. Like pretty hairsticks sharp enough to stab someone with, or other nice easily hideable weapons that she could use. Somehow she doubted that anything not metal had survived the ruins, so she wasn't holding out for too much... But still.
The blue eyed girl was lost enough in her thoughts that she almost didn't see the wingless dragons as they appeared, but Tuyet pulled her head up at the sound of scales on stone. Her eyes narrowed and her neck arched as she tucked her wing protectively over Den, watching them carefully just in case they might prove to be dangerous. The small dragon pulled him closer, leaving his sister out on her own and giving Tuyet dirty looks because of it.
She stayed utterly still as she watched them, pupils dilating in still readiness as they growled. She was fairly sure that they wouldn't have gone after her if they were hostile... But life had taught her that sometimes things happened unexpectedly; and things that didn't go after her would still be thrilled to have a little flutter sprite for lunch. Or even just a snack when it came down to it. Silly little things were like that candy they craved so to some of the predators she'd seen.
As they stilled she hissed out a sigh of relief. Apparently that was another reason for their guide. Briefly she wondered what would have happened had she ended up attempting to come alone... Maybe they just weren't meant to do that anymore. Oh well. Now she was in, she just had to keep the twins safe and get the stupid orb. That gave her plenty to think on as they started moving.
While they moved Den edged out from under Tuyets wing, walking quickly so that he could keep pace with her neck. He was rather wary of all the things they kept passing... But Tuyet would keep him safe, he didn't doubt that. And that the things seemed to respect De helped immensely.
The flutter rested a hand on Tuyet's neck as they walked, wings fluttering nervously. They were probably almost to whatever Tuyet wanted to do... And even though she wanted it to use for information he wasn't sure he was too trilled about this all. Hell, if they had lesser dragons just for decoration to the entrance, what could be -inside-? Hopefully it wasn't a test of physical strength. If it was that Tuyet was screwed, and Den wasn't sure how forgiving dragons would make failing of one of their tests to be.
His head snapped over as De spoke, blinking at him as Tuyet's neck arched over the small flutter and she answered, sounding worried, "What about these two? Will they be safe if they stay out here with everything or can they come in with me?"
Obviously Den hadn't been the only one doing some thinking.

Akasha sighed deeply. The feeling of the boy so close to him was comforting...and more than a little arousing. He growled lightly and pulled Hauke close, his fingers around the boy's waist stroking softly at the skin there before he gently took the tip of the boy's ear in his lips.
"Tell me Hauke..." the captain whispered softly into the boy's ear, "would you like to come down to my cabin with me?"
He knew his inhibitions and resolve were lowered. But to be honest, he did not care. He had wanted the little half-breed for a while now. And he deemed it time to indulge them both.

The myrmidon paused for a bit to adjust his thinking. The two flutter sprites were not part of his plan, and bluntly speaking he didn't really care. But since his guest asked, he thought that he should reply.
"Tuyet," he addressed with a quiet voice, "you are a guest of this tower. You must make your friends known to your host, and then your host will decide whether or not to acknowledge them as your friends." Plainly speaking, there is no guarentee of their safety inside the tower.
"Outside of the tower is a city called Collosae. Its residents do not welcome strangers well." De looked away for a second. If memory serves correctly, the monsters in Collosae only rip people apart but doesn't really eat them. He didn't feel the need to disclose the specifics.
"If you need a guide to get back, consult with your host." The myrmidon stepped back lightly and bowed to Tuyet before disappearing into thin air.

Tuyet moved her head more towards De as she spoke, both her and the sprites listening rather intently... Considering that it was their safety she was speaking of she would -hope- the little things were listening at least. The dragon was about to answer when the man literally disappeared under her nose.
"Well." She said, sparing a glance for the wingless dragons and creatures. They weren't moving towards them... but jeweled eyes were fixated on the small sprites as the edged nervously closer to her. Even Aik, which had to say something. Tuyet sighed, shaking her wings out and glancing back and forth between the entrance to the tower and the creatures outside.
"Looks like we're following you then, huh?" Aik said, reaching up to fiddle with the sticks holding her hair together. Tuyet twisted her head around to glance at the twins, pink eyes flickering between Aik's nervousness as the girl muttered to herself and Den's quiet version of the same emotion... Well it wasn't like she'd be leaving them out here. Or at least she wouldn't ever think of leaving Den, and that meant she wasn't leaving Aik.
"Alright. Let's do this." She said, barely waiting for the quiet affirmatives from her smaller 'siblings' as she moved carefully inside.
It was dark in the tower, the light from the opening she had entered from flicking past them over a floor that was as white as the outside had been. Everything seemed huge and vaunting, which she supposed made since, as the normal people who would come here were quite larger than she was. For the amount of gold that had littered the outside it was surprisingly bare... but maybe the gold outside had been kicked from here. Or something.
Her eyes glanced up, following a spiral towards the top of the tower, but she didn't move. Hell, it wasn't polite to just barge in on someone else's home, and she couldn't be sure that whatever it was didn't want her down here... She couldn't see it yet, but that didn't mean it wasn't there, especially not as the opening gently swung shut behind her, closing with a soft thump that shook a bit of dust from etchings in the wall.
"Is anyone here?" She called out, feeling the two flutter sprites silently move closer to her. There was probably some sort of fancy dancy dragon greeting that she could have uttered... but really, how was she supposed to know that sort of thing? If nobody answered... Well then she supposed it was either start up the spiral she could barely see or go more into the darkness that she could also barely see. That was definitely one of the drawbacks of her coloring: weak eyes.

I shivered at the unaccustomed contact and my eyes widen more as the blush on my face creeps down to my neck.
Bewildered, I stare up at the man. "Um... I-if you want to? I thought you liked it out here, b-but if you wanna go back inside, I guess I could come too?"
What's he plannin'? What's he want? Why me?
Trying to hide my sudden shyness, I look down and fumble with my sketchbook and trying to keep hold of the handful of pencils in my possession.
What's he expectin' of me?

Akasha purred lightly and licked the shell of his ear slowly.
"Come on then..." the captain said softly, reaching down to take the boy's hand and pull him along. Akasha knew what he was doing. At least on some level. He licked his lips lightly, a slight twinge of nervousness running through his body.
He opened the door and ushered Hauke through before closing and locking the heavy door behind him. He slowly approached the boy and tipped his chin up, slowly kissing him deeply. He let his hands wrap around the boy's waist, sliding his fingers into the boy's waistband and slowly stroking his hips.
"Hauke...I want you..." whispered the captain, as he slowly chewed on the boy's lower lip.

I don't really know what to expect from Akasha, so I just follow him into his room, blinking a little at the relative dimness.
I jump a little as I hear the snick of the lock and turn around just as Akasha leans over to kiss me. Somethin's different, though. This isn' like the kisses before! In fact, I feel myself relaxing a bit more and by the time he pulls away a little, I feel a bit dazed.
I shiver and my eyes go wide again at Akasha's remark, only half-way noticing what he's doing. Want me? Like... what? Does he mean... that? But...
"I-I..." What can I say, though? I'd never even thought of this kind of thing, really, except for overheard snippets from others in my home-village. I shiver again, staring dumbfounded at the man, not knowing how to respond to either his words or actions.

Akasha looked over the boy's timid nature. His mind clicked onto one very important fact: the boy was nervous and overwhelmed. Akasha slowly leaned down to kiss the boy, sucking on his lower lip gently.
"Tell me Hauke...are you hungry?" he asked softly, letting his fingers curl in the boy's hair. "You seem a bit on-edge baby," the captain purred. He gently stroked his scalp and his back, doing his best to get the boy to relax.
"Come with me..." he said softly, taking the boy by the hand and pulling him down onto the bed. He gently wrapped his arms around Hauke, rubbing small circles into his shoulders. "Do you want a massage? You seem tense...and I bet your shoulder still hurts..."

I dazedly follow Akasha to the bed as I try to wrap my mind around what he's saying and doing. It finally catches up just as Akasha gets me to sit down.
"Massage?" That's pretty safe, right? "Um... I s'pose... a-and I'm not hungry... thirsty a little, but..."
I shift around nervously and try to keep up with whatever Akasha's doing.
But if I drink any more blood, I'll start feelin' drunk. I don' think that's a good idea. It wasn't the last time I did. I blink at the memory of my Aunt and Uncle locking me in my room in the attic so I wouldn't do anything to everyone in the village.

Three silver needles pierced through throats, and those three men fell on their faces --- too much in shock to choke, clutch at their chests or scream. With a silver knife De then slit two other throats before they could utter a shout. The short, abrupt gasps caused the rest of the crew to turn around anyhow.
There lay five of their comrades, and stood a violet-haired man. The pirates were both angered and confused, if not a little shocked. A few of them even recognized him.
"Hey! He's the one who the captain tal---" Finger still pointing at the myrmidon, the man fell face first with a silver needle in his throat. The crew instantly snapped their heads to stare at De, stressing their eyes to their full potential and at this moment wondering only one thing---
Was it him?
They did not see the myrmidon move. Pethaps it was the tiger print on his robe, masking his movements. Maybe they did not pay enough attention to the strange man. Or maybe he had comrades.
Their eyes started to dart around for other enemies, now that danger was apparent where they stood. No, there was no one else --- it was plain sand and rocks. But three more fell, and another three more fell. And they did not have time to react, nor did they even see the myrmidon move. The pirates responded with gasps and growls, until one man roared.
"LET'S KILL THIS BASTARD!!!"
The man charged up front towards their quiet enemy while the aroused crew followed, their hands armed with weapons of all sorts. And then it rained --- ten daggers pierced down from the sky into nine men's skulls, one missed. A few of those men fell abruptly while others' bodies started to swing and flail, cutting their comrades' battle stances up short.
And then he moved. He shifted behind the dwarven woman who seemed to be their commander and hissed behind her ears.
"Past this gate is the city of Collosae --- the ancient city of witches and mage-kings, and now a city of monsters and dragons. Tell your captain that he will die here."
De smiled, almost politely, as he watched the dwarven woman leave with the remainder of men. A trail of blood trickled down from his lips, painting them red. He turned around to see a few lesser dragons catching up to the smell of intruders and ignored their crawling and sniffling around --- the wingless ones were almost always a minute late for some reason. Thanks to them, he had to use anima powers to kill that large a group of people.
Not as if he didn't enjoy it, though.

"A massage it is then," Akasha whispered huskily. He kissed the boy passionately before standing up and pulling off his shirt. "You'll need to strip then," the captain said as he moved over to a chest and began rummaging around for a vial of his special massage oil.
He smirked as he found a small dagger. He picked it up and hid it behind the vial of oil. He stood up and looked over at the bed. He raised an eyebrow at the shocked look on the boy's face. "You need to strip Hauke. A massage is full body."

Strip? Why should I do that? It's just a massage, right? I watch Akasha as he walks over to a chest and starts riffling through it. "Uhh..."
When he looks up and talks, I shiver a little. Full... body? I could use that, I suppose, but... I blush enough to match my hair and shift a little. "Ummm..." I shiver again. It'd be nice to get all the aches from stretchin' and stuff out, though...
Slowly, I peel back the covers and slide under them, pulling off my clothing while hiding my body as much as I can. There! He can massage perfectly well through that... right?
I glance at Akasha, still blushing and wondering what he was getting, if it's just a massage.

Akasha blinked as he turned around. He chuckled lightly.
"You need to lay on your stomach Hauke," Akasha said softly. He smiled as the boy rolled over and buried his blushing face into the captain's pillows. Akasha shed his clothing save his boxers and crawled onto the bed, straddling the boy below his rear. He gently pulled down the sheet until it covered his rear, leaving his entire back bare.
"Any muscle that is especially sore?" the captain whispered as he dribbled oil down the boy's back. He slowly began to kneed the boy's upper back, working the muscles slowly. He licked his lips lightly. The boy felt so good underneath him. Now he just had to loose the sheet...
...and Hauke's inhibitions.

I squeak as Akasha pulls back the covers and leans over me. This isn't normal, I know that. But why is he wanting to do it this way? I blush and keep my face buried in the pillows, trying not move around as Akasha pours some kind of nice-smelling oil on my back.
"Um... Not really. Just..." I shiver as Akasha puts his hands on my back and starts to knead. I sigh, deciding to just let him do whatever... As long as he doesn't stop massaging my back.
