In La'To, the capital city of Fasemoor...
"Mick!"
The young er rit lifted his bow and smoothed it firmly against the strings, ignoring the call of his name.
"Mickey!"
The melody filled the empty classroom like water in an aquarium, weaving together with the air a tranquil yet nostalgic mood. The other voice wasn't affected, however, and stung out like a toothbrush fallen into the fishtank.
"Mickey Di'Arc!!"
"WHAT?!" The er rit snapped as abruptly as the music was halted, and he turned to cast an annoyed glance at his buddy.
"Stop being so romantic," the other er rit teased. Mickey's ears twitched. He set down his violin and bow on the desk and pounced onto his friend with an elegant leap, which the other er rit successfully dodged by shielding himself with a chair. Mickey crouched at his landing spot, purred to his friend behind the chair and smirked, "So you want to get straight to the point, I suppose?"
"If you don't mind people watching!" The other boy giggled as the door to the classroom slid open.
"Hey Mickey! Lunch break is almost over." A couple of other boys called from the door to the the er rit with silvery blue hair. "And don't make out here, you've only got 3 minutes until the music people comes over. Schedule's too tight here in Hel'Empur," they laughed.
"Understood," Mickey grinned. "What classes next?"
"Physics, physics and more physics. Skip?"
"Why not?" Mickey stood up.
"Who else?" The other er rit put away the chair and asked.
"Well..." One of the boys at the door ran through a series of names. "There're us and two more, so six in total."
"Let's break out, then!" Mickey declared, a triumphant grin on his face which made the other boys smile in response.
The four of them ran to the gardens of Hel'Empur Academy and waited for the other two to show up, careful to not attract the attention of teachers.

Kristopher gripped his books carefully as not to drop them, his teachers would get mad. He huffed and blew a straying hair away from his face and growled, figuring he had to cut it some time. Though he may not look like it, he was indeed someone who had to study...needed to at least. The h'ortom looked at the school clock and it looked as if lunch was almost over. An irritated whimper made way from his throat and he continued to traipsed through the whole gardens.
Having only just transferred to this prestigious academy a week ago, but he was able to make some new friends. Kristopher smiled to himself, thankful. At least there were some nice students here. Then...There's the ones that just love messing around.
A lively companion of his, Ken, that he had made on the first day of school, decided to give him a tour around the school. It was nice of him, truly and he was also thankful for that, even though Kristopher just gets himself lost anyway. As he recalled, the h'ortom couldn't remember what room it was but there were painful noises behind it and he only had to peak to find out what it was; two male er rits on a table just snogging the wits out of themselves!
This didn't exactly make this young man angry or anything, he was surprised they would do this sort of thing in school. He'd made out with plenty of females, however, doing that with males never exactly crossed his mind even if his other friend, not the one that was showing him around the school, tried to do so...His mouth was only open agaped, but Ken was able to pull him away before the h'ortom could see anymore.
That was his second day at school. Unique.
Kristopher's tail swished this way and that, his ears twitching constantly, aware of the other noises and talking in the garden. His silver eyes glanced over to see a group of er rits jumping and running around, playful. He only shrugged and for a moment, he could've sworn he met eyes with the, it seemed, the little leader of the group. He averted his gaze and continued on, irritated. He wasn't able to get lunch. His ears drooped and laid flat on his head, a small snarl making its' way to his features.
"Kris, you're late!" A mirthful voice shouted over to him. Kristopher looked up and grinned.
"Ken, you jincer, it's your fault!" He replied playfully, walking the final distance and punching him on the shoulder.
"Hey! That hurt, y'know!" Ken thought only for a second before rolling his eyes and smirking. "Come on," the other h'ortom reached for his arm and jerked him towards him. "I saved you some lunch."

Mickey felt a sharp karate chop attempting to split his ribs.
"OW!"
Surprised, the attacker withdrew his fighting stance, apparently not expecting Mickey to take the hit. Another boy leaned against Mickey's shoulders and followed Mickey's glance, trying to find out what caught their leader's inconsistent attention. "Wha'cha lookin' at?"
"Did you guys see that wolf boy?" The silvery blue er rit turned to his friends and asked, finger pointing to the corridor where the subject had disappeared from.
"What?" The one leaning on his shoulders blurted out, confused.
"Oh, him. He's new." Another one shrugged, then grew cautious. "What's caught you?"
"What's his name?" Mickey asked.
The er rit boy who was in the classroom with him before hissed and attempted to pounce onto their leader, but Mickey grabbed him by the waist and pulled the boy close to him instead. The er rit's sudden throw of a fit deflated as Mickey casted a questioning glance at another boy, awaiting his answer.
"Kristopher...something. He's in our grade." The boy rubbed his chin and smirked, "For the record, he's aaalways with the Ken-boy."
"Kristopher with a 'K' or 'Ch'?"
"'K'."
"Kristopher Nicholas then."
"Man, you actually memorize these things?"
Mickey shrugged and waved at the two boys walking towards them from afar. Seemingly to have forgotten his previous interest, he patted his hands and grinned.
"Let's go!"

Kristopher wriggled, riled with aggravation and impatience while he let his chin rest on the cement counter of the arch that was bare to the scenery. His stomach wanted to growl and he was tired. Ken was rustling through his locket looking for the item he bought for the h'ortom. His tail hung low and he stared at the trees that sat in the other courtyard. He let his fingers rapped his fingers against the edge of the cement and tilted his head to one side, enjoying the greenery. Oh, how he wished to lay on that grass and sleep... "With some music?" the h'ortom jumped and growled as his fur bristled, a slight shiver coursing through his body when Ken's voice cut short of his peaceful daydream.
He landed a hard kick to the other wolf beast's knee. and shouted, "W-what did the hell did I tell you about doing that?!" Kristopher shuddered and turned around, crossing his arms while muttering incoherent syllables. The other boy only laughed. Ken tapped his chest with a pastry contained inside a plastic package and displayed, to him, only an amused look. "Melon bread," his tone calm, only expecting Kris' reaction. He didn't think that it did much harm to him, just scaring him like that. It was fun and his expressions were entertaining. A quiet humm of thanks was the only response from Kris before he opened the package and started to munch on the contents inside.
Kris looked up at his friend with a concerned look. He got up and licked his cheek with tenderness. "Are you okay?" the black-furred h'ortom asked. There was a moment of silence, Ken slightly taken aback from what Kristopher had done. All of a sudden a shaky laugh could be heard from the auburn-coat beast.
"Is this your response?" Ken asked.
"What?" he responded.
"Ne~vermind." Dodging the whole subject, he whistled swung his feet and began walking down the hall, gesturing a finger for Kristopher to follow. "We got physics. We both know how much you like that."
"Ahahah...Wait. That was a joke right?"

There are very few ways to get past the walls of Hel'Empur Academy.
As all good private schools, the educators prefer to keep track of their guests and students. The walls on campus were fused with extensive ward magics that are directly tuned to magic-capable security guards. The school calls it good security. The parents call it good education. The students call it inconvenience. The delinquents call it jail measures.
As all good organized delinquents however, Mickey's crew preferred not to walk through the main gate to get out of Hel'Empur. Hell knows that alarming the security guards wasn't the best way to skip school.
Mickey licked his lips and gestured for one of the boys to come forth. The boy stepped out and faced the wall, drawing a large complicated pattern in the air with a ward pen.
The buzzing sound from the magic in the wall was silenced.
To counter ward magic, one's best bet is to use other ward magics. They didn't teach such high-level ones in school though --- this particular technique derived from delinquent technology.
"Oookay," the er rit said, preparing for a leap up the wall.

Having arrived to class, he had totally regretted going. All of it was so damn boring, he had been caught falling asleep in it more than a few times already. It didn't even seem as if he needed any of this knowledge for the future his aunt and uncle had planned for him, mixed in with some of his own ideas. He was expected to graduate as a top and favored student and go on to be a scholar and political leader. However, he also wanted to be married to a beautiful, faithful, helpful, loving and kind woman.
Kristopher began to drift away in his thoughts, a grin plastered onto his face. The teacher, though, was beginning to walk around the class, scruitinizing each students every move. It almost seemed like that at least. Ken glanced over at Kris with a worried and slightly panicked expression. The teacher was deathly close to them and the H'ortom was in dream land. Knowing that it wouldn't be easy to get him out of that state, Ken gave the other beast man a sharp nudge - elbow to elbow. That was a rahter faulty move.
This only caused the grey-furred young man to lose his stand and slam his head on his desk. A loud thump, followed by a groan and curse, sounded throughout the test-taking quietness of the room. There were several squeaks and shifts of clothing and chairs, as most students turned to the source of the noise. Ken's eyes widened in realization and somewhat...amusement, holding back a snicker. Lifting up his head, he quickly turned his head to his best friend and growled. "What the heck!" he shouted angrily.
An obnoxious clearing of the teacher's throat interrupted Kristopher. He looked up and his whole body immediately jerked, scooting himself a few centimeters to a side of his seat. He closed his eyes tightly, wondering if anybody else was looking at him. Opening them a crack, he scanned the room and flinched ever so slightly. Pretty much all eyes were on him. He glared at Ken. So was his. A corner of his mouth curved and wrinkled.
"Mister Nicholas."
"Wh -...Yes, sir?" he looked sraight into the teacher's eyes, correcting himself.
"What is it that caused you to hurt yourself and curse?"
A few girls here and there giggled, some boys snickered and laughed. He was quite tempted to slash all of their heads off. "I seemed to have been distracted by the questions on the paper, sir. Please excuse my interruption."
The older man stared at Kristopher for a couple seconds before turning back around to observe the other students, pretty much ignoring what he had said. "Please take a step outside to cool yourself down then."

"Hey wait! Where's Hil?"
Mickey halted his spring up the wall and turned around to find the boys chatting amongst themselves, a puzzled atmosphere filling the air.
"What do you mean, where's Hil? Wasn't he just here?" The silvery blue er rit was annoyed, and his eyes glared impatiently. Looking around, the apparently absent Hil was apparently not there. "What kind of stupid joke is this? HIL!!" Mickey hissed and a trill sounded deep behind his throat. The other boys fell silent and searched around the garden desperately, hoping to find Hil. Mickey was not happy. Not happy can mean a lot of things. Bad things.
"Mickey!" One of the boys whispered for the er rit to come, himself dwelling behind the flower bushes.
"What the jince?" Mickey mumbled and walked over. Hearing the occasion, the rest of the boys came crawling to see what was going on. The one that called them over pointed to the corridor that they have just came from not too long ago, and four pairs of eyes followed simutaneously. A couple of the boys gasped, and Mickey kicked them lightly in their thighs.
"Shut up will you?!" He hissed, eyes glued to Hil their friend, the sneaky and jealous er rit, Mickey's 'partner'.
His partner. Mostly when it's convenient.
But that doesn't affect the jealousy. And it's easy to see, because Hil was confronting that wolf boy named Kris, wherever he popped up from. The crew couldn't hear what they were talking about, but the mood didn't seem so great.
"By the NINE!!!" Mickey's hiss bursted into a growl. He straightened up and quickly paced over, in his anger and irritation not losing the grace of a feline. The rest of the crew bursted out from the bush and followed hurriedly, but keeping their distance so to not stir with the tempest. Approaching the two boys, Mickey stalked silently behind Hil and pulled him around abruptly by his arm and gave him a quick, hard slap. "Stop acting like a woman!" He hissed.
Hil was surprised, but his eyes instantly filled themselves with innocence and a need for pity. There were no tears, though. Typically er rit.

Holding back a howl, Kristopher growled angrily once the door shut and he was once again out in the hall. He had his arms crossed. Even though the young h'ortom apologized very politely, the teacher had proceeded to make him go outside. That, more in Kris' logic, would just make him worse than before. He plopped down onto the hard and somewhat clean floor and leaned against the stony wall that stood behind him. He rested his head, moving his thoughts toward the more optimistic side. This could be the little break he was looking for.
All he had been doing lately was studying and help his aunt around the house. If he wasn't doing that, his friends were dragging him off somewhere to a party or something. He sighed in attempt to release a bit of stress he had inside before muttering, "I'm hungry." Kristopher could hear light steps in the hallway, glancing up for a minute to look around. His sharp eyes caught site of what it was. He wasn't exactly accurate, but he sure he the other figure somewhere before. He was an er rit and seemed to be coming toward him. Staying where he was, Kristopher didn't move, but only watched. If needed, he would fight back.
He fisted his fingers on the floor beside him when the beast man stood in front of him with a flirtacious grin. He only frowned, suspicion creeping on him. "Is there something you need?" The other young man nodded, keeping his happy expression.
"Yep." There was only silence after his reply as Kristopher figured it would've been pointless to reply. If they were to continue exchanging words, it would only lead into a small conversation that would, very soon, dry out. Plus, the beast man's presence didn't really cheer him up either. Right now, beating someone up was ideal. Shouts and yells of names and incoherent sentences alerted him. Abruptly, Kristopher stood up. He recognized the flurry of voices somewhere....He looked back at the er rit that was trying to attach himself to his arm and pried his hands away.
Maybe this guy's with the group I saw.
Immediately answering his question, the cat-beast he had spotted earlier appeared, completely ignoring him, walked over to the young man that was once ogling at him. The next thing only surprised him, his eyes widening in bewilderment as he witnessed the shorter er rit being soundly slapped in front of him. "Wha....-" He stopped in mid-sentence, confused, as a puzzled expression masked his face, and without thinking Kristopher grabbed taller the er rit's elbow. Looking from the corner of his eyes, Kristopher could see the rest of the group jog up and gather close.
"What are you doing?" He managed in a whisper tones, his expression remaining in it's confused state.
