No Talimede wasn't normally the social sort either... but he didn't mind how closely Kerin had clung upon the way down. Kerin, oddly, brought a sort of warmth with him that Tali hadn't felt in... GEEZ! What was he doing thinking like that now again? He mentally groaned at himself, hoping such thoughts weren't somehow obvious or painted upon his face. THAT would be embarrassing. Very, very embarrassing.
"Good, good," Talimede replies, hoping still his earlier thoughts weren't traceable. He smiled brighter again, noting Kerin seemed a lot calmer now. With a light push Talimede jumped down towards the ground himself. "Don't worry about it Kerin, I didn't mind at all," Talimede replies honestly, before giving alight wink. "Besides, in a minute, out there, it wont matter right?" he asked, nodding towards the waters. He had an excited look in his eyes, that could only be described as cute.
He noted Kerin was still blushing, and once more smiled warmly. "Hey... really, its okay," he added. Talimede took in a deep breath once or twice, then proceeded to give a thumbs up. "All set!" he replied, tossing in a wink. "Come on, I'll race ya out there." In a flash Talimede was running down the beach towards the water. Of course, the l'ortus wasn't used to sand and as such his steps might be a bit slower than most.
But Kerin would be able t see that Talimede's nice build extended behind as well, and of course the cute little tail that waved behind him. That tail with a mind of its own. "Come on slowpoke, are you gonna let me beat you?" Tali asked, looking back Kerin with a cheerful grin. A grin which lit up Talimede's face brightly.

It didn't really make him feel much better about the whole thing because Talimede didn't mind -- after all, it was still his fault -- but he couldn't help feeling more... more at home if that made any sense, when the L'ortus mentioned the ocean. Maybe those waves really could fix everything, even if just by making it seem so wonderfully distant. At least out there it was his world, heights didn't matter. That and he couldn't help the thought that was flickering through his mind, that Talimede looked absolutely adorable at that moment.
It was a bit surprising that the L'ortus was already set to jump into the water, honestly Kerin had expected him to be spent after having to carry the boy all the way down... But maybe he was underestimating the man. As Talimede took off he stood there for a moment, eyes following him of their own accord before his face turned bright red, he might not have even gotten to the coherent thought point with wherever his mind was going, but he wasn't letting it get further, and sternly told it that he was just watching because of Talimede's tail... not anything else he might happen to be able to see at the same time.
Damn sometimes he blushed too much, reaching down he tugged off his boot, managing to be busy with the other one by the time the L'ortus turned around, hoping that the man would think the flush still covering Kerin's face was because of how slow he was being. Yeah... that was entirely why he was blushing.
"I'd rather not have to dry out boots!" He said, grinning and launching into motion towards the man, the warm sand feeling wonderful against his bare feet. He still had the sealskin strapped to his side, and really swimming was more fun in that... but that would require stripping to change and he wasn't going to even let himself consider doing that right now. Instead he simply dove into the water as soon as he reached it, reveling in its cool embrace as the sand started to slope downwards and the fish shied a little bit away.
He quickly spun himself outwards until his feet could barely touch the bottom -- which granted wasn't all that far out in the water-- and turned back, a teasing grin on his face, "Gonna let me beat you?"

Of course Tali was ready to leap into the water! He couldn't wait! He honestly felt like a little kid again, and was but a few steps away from grinning as wide as one. It was a strange thought, that a cat would love water so much. But in truth, Tali just loved everything about nature. He loved the smells, the feels, the sights...
When Kerin ended up mentioning about boots Tali laughed. Oh nuts! Shoes! Tali tossed off his own sandals, shoes designed for a l'ortus's feet. Leather and water wouldn't get along too well. He'd been so excited, he forgot! And THAT lost him precious time as Kerin dashed in front of him and into the water. Tali blinked, then laughed deeply. "No way!" the beastman replied, starting to run forward again.
He coudlnt help but note Kerin still had a light blush. It was really rather cu- no no! Bad Tali! BAD! But still with that grin, and Kerin came back up wet... oh boy. Oooooh boy. He did rather enjoy the sights of nature very much....
'TALI! Pull yourself together!' He mentally chided. It seemed the more relaxed he got the easier it was to think bad thoughts. Naughty, naughty thoughts. He shouldn't be thinking that way... he was bad as Kashin!BAD! But, he thought to himself as he dashed across the sands.... when was the last time he had been bad really? Wasn't he about due? Was it really so terrible to appreciate a cute face.. and body for that matter.
BAD TALI!
He leapt into the water then, grinning widely. The water slid off of his brown hair, as the two ponytail holders upon either side of his face actually slid off, allowing his long brown hair to flow freely. "Ill catch you yet!" Talimede replies, tossing a wink as he started to swim through the water. He had powerful strokes really, that retained an odd grace somehow. Not the fastest... but hypnotic to watch perhaps. "And when I win you're in so much trouble!" he added with a tease, and despite himself that adorable childish grin crossed his face as he tried to push himself faster to catch up.
But what happened if Kerin won this race Tali wondered to himself?

Kerin let himself drift backwards a little bit as Talimede leapt into the water, feet now completely unable to touch the bottom... not that it really mattered to the selkie. He had fully intended to simply wait for the L'ortus to get to him... because honestly he still wasn't sure if the larger man should have actually rested after having to carry him down the wall. He had a feeling that was going to be bothering him for awhile.
Only all intentions were dashed at the L'ortus's challenge. This was Kerin's element, no way he was letting someone beat him in that! Flashing a grin towards the man he dove back under, kicking and spinning until he was far enough away to waste precious moments popping his head above the water and laughing back, "Oh and how will I be in trouble now?"
Then he dove back under, somewhat slowed by the way the water clutched at his loose clothes; that was an advantage to his skin, water couldn't rip through that. Underwater was different than abovewater was, especially in this form; everything was silent, pounding in his ears just waiting for him to change to seal and become a part of it. Here they weren't too deep, only a few yards towards shore and the L'ortus would have been able to stand, but it was just deep enough that Kerin could maneuver however he wanted.
So when he paused to twist briefly above the water, catching a new lungful of air before going again into the ocean's watery embrace, he could blame the pause to watch the man swimming strongly towards him on simply being cut off from the world that they had been in... Or Talimede's tail, since that seemed to be his excuse fairly often in this last bit of time.
The thought drew his eyes to the L'ortus's tail, and a grin flickered over his face. He launched to the surface again, getting another breath of air with the larger man now extremely close, and grinned, launching away and downwards before arching back along the sandy bottom, spinning underneath the man. A moment later he kicked off of the bottom, heading towards the L'ortus at an angle and crashing into his side, grabbing for his tail with a glee that would have suited a selkie much younger than he was. So far as he was concerned, as his fingers closed on the end of it, he won.

Talimede in all honesty, normally would have been winded. However, he ignored it due to his sheer excitement at being able to swim... and he didn't wish to worry Kerin either. o he swam further out with large strides, grinning lightly. Aaaah, the feel of water! It was wonderful... so wondrous. How was it so many felines didn't care for it? He reveled in it.
He'd catch Kerin yet! Or at least, that was what he thought until Kerin dove under, and popped up further away. "Ill SHOW you!" Talimede replied with a bright smile. He swam out further, wondering idly what it was like to dive headlong into the waters like that. He had never tried, streams never being deep enough and most lakes being polluted with boats or otherwise.
And Talimede, who wasn't nearly as maneuverable in the water as the selkie was, didn't see where Kerin had gone for a moment. One moment it was underwater and the next... wait. What was that? Did he just feel water whooshing... BY!
He found, in that moment, his tail grabbed. And for the l'ortus, the tail was a place that had a few effects. Like a cat, his first reaction was to purr deeply, and half closed his eyes. How long since someone touched his tail? He glanced over his shoulder at Kerin, grinning mischievously.
"Of course you do realize that now I have to catch something of yours right?" he asked, a brow raised, as his tail lightly twitched in Kerin's hand. But the look Tali gave was one of sheer lighthearted trouble. The tail... touching it seemed to relax the feline too it seemed. Relax enough to want to get closer. It was cute, that devlish gold eye winking as he said those words. He looked towards Kerin, for a response. After all, it was Kerin who had the cat by the tail. What would one do with the aforementioned cat?

Kerin was almost tempted to reach up and pull on the L'ortus's ears during the brief moment when the man's eyes were closed -- just to see what sort of reaction that would bring -- but he managed to resist the urge. Instead he ran his fingers over the wet fur of Talimede's tail, grinning back at the larger man. Reaching forwards probably wouldn't have been a good idea anyway, it would have put him into too easy of a place to reach.
As Talimede poke he slid backwards in the water, away from the L'ortus as far as he could while still keeping a hold on the mans tail. So far as he was concerned that was his until he let go of it, since he had managed to catch it without being caught himself... so far.
"Oh is that when I'll be in trouble?" He asked, half laughing as the L'ortus winked at him and letting a rather evil little grin slide over his face as he tugged lightly on the man's tail, fingers still slowly twisting around it as the water shifted his hold. "It's a bit harder to catch something of mine, I'd think. No tail."
The grin never left his face as he slipped almost completely underwater, only the top of his head and his dark eyes showing above the gently roiling surface as he waited to see exactly what Talimede was going to do. He probably wasn't far enough out of reach to get away if the man proved to have any speed in the water -- though that was mostly because he still was keeping sharp hold of the man's tail -- but far as Kerin was concerned this was more fun than a constant game of tag.

Of course, ones options were limited when caught by the tail! And it wasnt like Tali had any control over the movements his tail took, so instead the tail moved on its own, lightly twitching in Kerin's grasp. Of course, had they not been in the water, it would have been really easy for Tali to purr louder and roll over on his back. Some instincts were just that strong!
The l'ortus glanced over his shoulder, one keen eye focused upon Kerin. "Perhaps," the feline replied with a light grin. Of course, this was all Kerin's fault. Everyone knew that a tail had THAT effect upon a beastman! An effect even the water couldn't cool!
And that was when Kerin tugged upon his tail cheerfully. Tali purred again, eyes closed a moment longer as a ripple went down his spine. Now a yank would have been different. But a tug.... a tug was well, yes. Interesting. Maybe if he made this next move reeeally quickly? Oh dear, he really was caught wasn't he. Diving under the water himself he used his free hands to send some water currents Kerin's way. Swirling the water and whatnot, not sure what effect it would have as he dashed towards turned as much as he could to swim towards Kerin. Which wasn't much mind you! If he could just get himself turned the right way, AH! He had it! Quickly, he made to swim underneath Kerin. If this worked right, he could slip free and get the selkie back wonderfully. If not... well, could be interesting!

Other than those that he could see, Kerin honestly had no idea what holding onto Talimede's tail was doing to the man... but seeing as he'd never truely met a beast-man before his ignorance was somewhat excusable. If he had known his face would have been burning right then. As it was the blush was finally leaving his face as he focused more on keeping his 'prize' than any other feelings touching the tall man might have stirred up.
Kerin tensed as the L'ortus sent water towards, him, not quite sure what the man was up to. That he was up to something wasn't even a question. He simply let the water brush past him, twisting through his shirt and moving the boy a bit as he kept his eyes fixed on the L'ortus as he twisted his fingers more tightly around the tail and kicked his feet a bit to stay stabilized. Sure, it made the water even more messed up, but it did keep him from floating nearer to the man.
Movement wasn't unexpected, and he grinned wider as Talimede suddenly came his way, kicking off to the side with his hands still tightly gripping the man's tail, and preparing himself to be whipped around if the larger man did what he expected to do and went for the section of stirred water that Kerin was rapidly leaving. If the expected had been done then Kerin would have still been in control.
Unfortunately for that plan, Talimede didn't seem to be doing the expected, and Kerin only got a moment of warning as he was yanked down under where he had been instead of too the side. He let go of the man's tail, too late to avoid having lost any momentum that he had manged to get in the disturbed currents of the water and had to twist to get himself rebalanced and figure out where the L'ortus had gone.

Tali could not help but grin widely to himself, a flash of teeth and amusement. His gold eyes glittered with it, even underwater. He had to take a moment to come up for air, doing so quickly in the flash of confusion. His tail was now free, and happily waving behind him once more. But of course, he had his word to keep!
And, after all, he was a l'ortus of his word!
Seizing the opportunity as quick as he could, Talimede made his way behind where Kerin was. One could see Tali's mischievous expression, which was so unlike his usually calm one and yet somehow seemed much more natural at the same time! A grin, a liveliness, that should have been there all along. A fully relaxed Talimede, comfortable in showing that side. Or, perhaps, in these waters and having great fun with his companion, he forgot to put up his barriers.
Or, one could always blame it upon his tail! THAT was a feeling one could never deny either!
Either way, there wasn't a doubt in his mind what his next move was. The larger man's grin was like a chesire's as he ducked back underneath the water's and came towards Kerin. Hoping to pounce upon the selkie from behind! Of course, what would Tali do if somehow this succeeded? And if it didn't, since Tali couldn't move nowhere near as fast as a selkie could underwater, then Tali could very well be at Kerin's mercy! Still he could not resist the urge to try!
Because if this worked, Kerin would be caught and subjected to a l'ortus POUNCE!

Kerin managed to get himself more or less stabilized in the water, gulping down a deep breath of air -- after all, he was still a mammal, just a mammal with a higher than normal ability to hold its breath -- and ducking back under the water.
It took him a moment to figure out where the larger man was, and he doubtless looked slightly silly while doing so; spinning about with his hands ready to ward off the L'ortus. He would have felt like some silly little prey animal if it weren't for the grin spreading over his face. If he had taken the time to think about it he would have found it almost absurd how much he was enjoying himself with this; normally the little selkie had avoided these sorts of games, both in water and out... Maybe since Talimede wasn't a selkie, thus wasn't equipped to move as fast through the water like the other selkies, who could beat Kerin easily by sheer virtue of size alone.
Or maybe it just had something to do with the L'ortus himself. Either way, Kerin wasn't focusing on that at the moment, more trying to finish this game with a win. After all, now he had lost hold of the L'ortus's tail, so he supposed it was back to free for all.
A moment of disorientation let him finally spy the man coming towards him through the water and he had a moment to figure out exactly what he was going to be able to do. Going down was out, the larger man could just change his direction... And damnit Kerin still wanted to reclaim the L'ortus's tail.
Not having anything to kick off of greatly slowed the selkie as he shot just barely to the side of the incoming man, hoping that the forwards motion would make it so Talimede wasn't quite fast enough to grab the selkie before Kerin managed to claim hold of his tail again. He was close enough to the beast-man that it really was a matter of speed at the moment. And not even swimming speed.

To say Tali was having fun would have been quite the understatement! Had he been out of the water he probably would have been laughing with delight, chuckling with amusement, perhaps a song as well. Tali, after all, had quite the voice should he wish it! But right now... time to catch Kerin! Kern wouldn't see what was coming! Teehee! The l'ortus practically was squirming with happiness. Just one big pounce and they were even!
Of course... Kerin had the advantage! And tali, whether he;d admit it or not, wasn't quite at his height after earlier. He gave it quite the go as he reached his hands out... only to find himself missing. In fact, Kerin whooshed right past Talimede. 'Uh-oh!' Tali thought, but he wasn't quick enough either as quite suddenly he found a familiar tug upon his tail as he was caught!
Oh man... oh man! There was that... feeling again! The one that drove Tali nuts, and sent a shudder down his spine! Not far form the surface, Kerin still having his tail, he managed to get above water and fold his arms. Waiting for Kerin, he looked over his shoulder in a way that could be described as playful and coy almost. A look of confidence, with a slight grin of teeth and a raised brow.
"So... what are you going to do now that you have the cat by the tail?" he teased Kerin, eyes glittering with amusement. Perhaps a slight anticipation to see what the selkie might do? Of course, normally Tali would have, indeed, looked at himself as acting like a Kashin dumbass right now. But oddly enough, right now, in this moment, it didn't feel like that at all. He was truly enjoying himself. Perhaps it was Kerin... Tali, after all, had never had this sort of reaction before to anyone.
He could chalk it up to his tail... but somehow, he didn't want to.

Kerin felt a burst of glee as he, much to his complete and utter amazement, actually managed to avoid being caught in his little gamble to again catch the L'ortus's tail. The grin on his face merely widened as his finger's closed on Talimede's tail, letting the hold slow down his momentum and swing him gently around to float facing the larger man.
Well this was familiar. Maybe this time he would manage to keep hold of his winning.
Granted the L'ortus's expression as Kerin surfaced wasn't exactly the same as before. In Kerin's defense, he had absolutely no idea what his hold was doing to the man... though whether or not he would have kept holding on or let go if he had was impossible to tell. As it was the selkie merely returned the grin with a playful one of his own, eyes narrowed as he watched the L'ortus to see what he would do.
"Dunno." He answered, grin widening as he let himself drift a little bit closer... What should he do? Really he hadn't thought much past actually reclaiming the L'ortus's tail, nor had he thought past keeping hold of it the first time he had won. And a strange feeling running along his body was making it harder and harder to actually concentrate on anything but the fact that he was holding onto the man, and close enough that the little selkie normally would have been horribly uncomfortable but for some reason wasn't.
"What do you think I should do?" The selkie added, a mischievous note added to his voice as he ran his fingers over the tip of the mans tail. He was still coming up with nothing... but that didn't mean he couldn't play with that.

Talimede hadn't actually expected that sort of question, arching a brow as he chuckled a slight in amusement. "THAT is a loaded question," he replied, his grin widening a slight. Of course it really didn't help the way that Kerin was rubbing his tail... especially since the tip was the second most sensitive area for Tali. The first, of course, was right at the base of Tali's spine.
Of course, it would have been all over with if Kerin had somehow touched there.
"I suppose it would depend on what sort of reaction I'd want," he finally replied, his tail idly twitching in Kerin's hand. "In this position, one could easilly jump me from behind and tackle me underwater. Could have quite a bit of fun rolling around really. Or, one could latch on, real tight, and not let go. Having a cat by the tail one could do quite a bit I suppose. But I... you know what I'd do?" Tali asked, giving a light wink. Talimede inhaled deeply a moment, that feeling arching through his spine that Kerin's fingers were sending. Did Kerin have any idea? Oh Tali hoped he did, because it felt really good. And this seemed completely right too. So completely right.
"Me," he finally continued after his dramatic pause, "If I had a cat by the tail I would try to tame him for my own..." He added mentally to himself, 'Or see just how wild a l'ortus could be...'
It really was the tail right? But at this point, Tali wasn't so sure about that anymore. He was fairly certain not everyone's fingers could evoke such a response... did he give this strange sort of feeling to Kerin as well he idly pondered, as with the same expression he looked towards Kerin for a reaction.

Kerin's grin broaded, whiskers twitching slightly as he tilted his head and watched the L'ortus speak. Half of his attention was on what the larger man was saying, and half of it on just... watching. Watching what he couldn't have said for sure, but he was certainly enjoying himself.
Tackling was certainly out. Sure, it seemed like the selkie was certainly faster than Talimede... but he doubted he'd be stronger, and keeping both a hold and control wouldn't have lasted for long. He ran his fingers over the tip of the man's tail again as he listened, still watching.
And suddenly he realized that what he was doing was actually getting a reaction from the man! He let himself slip more or less underwater for a moment, masking the surprise that had flickered over his face with the waves as he waited for the man to continue talking. The realization that messing with Talimede's tail was actually... Well usually that would have prompted Kerin to immediately let go and get a bit further away, but for some reason this time it just sent the same strange tingles shooting through his body, and he had some horrible temptation to see if he couldn't mess with the larger man more. The sly smile reclaimed his face, as he moved back up so that his head was once again out of the water in time to catch the continuation of Talimede's earlier statement.
"I don't think somethin' that's technically wild would be so good at tamin'. Doesn't seem to work too well..." Kerin answered, head tilting as he let his fingers twist over the tip of Talimede's tail, seemingly of their own accord. "And since my goal was to get your tail again I could always take the easy way out and just keep playin' with it." He added, the mischievous smile spreading to his eyes and doubtless making them glint in amusement as he continued twisting the fingers of one hand over the tip of the man's tail, the other trailing about half a foot up it.

Tali was almost glad for a moment he could turn so his expression couldn't be seen. For when it was mentioned that perhaps Kerin would continue playing with the tail, part of Tali's mind leap. 'Keep playing with it! PLEASE!' it shouted, that naughty little section he normally kept quite sequestered. That thought, of course, made his tanned cheeks actually show a very bright blush.
He coughed a slight, about to glance over her shoulder and say something else when Kerin started to twist his fingers... and with the other move up the tail. Every inch higher, of course, leading to anticipation. His tail actually twitched with it really, and as Kerin worked is magic Tali's golden eyes closed.
"Ooooh, you know exactly what you're doing don;t you?" he asked, the hint of a purr in his voice. Normally, Tali would have been embarrassed for a non l'ortus man to hear him purr. But it seemed okay here... for some reason. Because, well, purring wasn't exactly intimidating, and made him seem more like a housepet. But the purring grew stronger with those fingers kneading into his furred tail, and the l'ortus arched a slight.
"You do know I'm gonna have to pay you back for this later right?" Tali purred, glancing over at Kerin. "I'm not sure yet but I'll pay you back tenfold..." His words came out alongside that deep purr, Tali's eyes still half closed and a smile upon him. Oooooh, this so wasn't fair. Just a bit higher and... and...
He'd be like a lion caught by the tail! All of his energy pent up and nowhere to unleash it upon! Darn Kerin... why did this have to feel so good? It was easy to loose ones mind this way! And yet, the l'ortus didn't mind. In fact, he was fairly sure he wanted to loose his mind for once.

Kerin was watching with something akin to fascination with, well, a vaguely evil glint in his eyes. Especially when he caught sight of what looked like it might have been a blush. His grin widened then and he tugged on the man's tail slightly, drawing himself just a bit closer as he floated in the water.
It vaguely occured to him that they were somewhat lucky the wind was so low today, or they would've both been getting continually dunked, floating this way... but his mind didn't dwell on that for long, because floating here was what was giving him a little bit of an advantage.
He paused again for a brief moment as he heard Talimede start to speak again, realizing with a glee more childish than anything that the larger man had actually purred. Like a cat! Though he supposed that would make sense considering the man was a L'ortus...
"Oh not exactly" The selkie answered, playfully letting his flingers twist a little bit higher, "But I can tell it's driving you crazy, which makes it fun." he added after a moment, fingers pausing as he lifted a little more out of the water to grin at the larger man before he renewed the 'attack'.
He let himself slip dangerously close as the L'ortus spoke again, subconsciously daring the man to try it, though he didn't answer aloud. He let the fingers of one hand slip up as he moved, so that they were almost where the L'ortus's tail met his spine, playing with the short fur, and pulled the rest of Talimede's tail with him with the other hand. It made it so he didn't have anything close to the best hold on the man's tail... but with how Talimede seemed to be reacting he wasn't so sure if he'd have to worry about the man moving. And if he was wrong, at least he was getting a rather wicked glee from the reaction he was managing to get at the moment.

Tali noted that evil glint there in Kerin's eyes, thinking to himself that the selkie had one heck of a mischievous streak! He could put any feline to shame with that! The man simply had a way of being evil and yet being cute at the same time. It simply wasn't fair, how was he supposed to resist that? Especially with his tail being... ooooh! He didn't WANT to fight! No way! It was... wonderful. Talimede found himself still purring, his back arching lightly. THIS was a good way to loose one's rational mind!
Did he really even want a rational mind with his tail being worked upon like this? "Crazy..." Talimede managed to say, "Is an UNDERSTATEMENT." He refused to believe Kerin was as innocent as he was trying to look. NOONE could effect his tail like that without knowing what they were doing! It didn't help that Kerin was awfully....
WOAH! Kerin's fingers had moved upwards once more, singing tingles throughout Tali's entire tail. He realized, with a start... it was a good thing this water was cold. Oooooh how embrassing. And the worst thing was, in that moment, Tali was completely at the selkie's mercy. Because really, he couldn't fight back if he wished it!
"Don't stop there you evil little man..." Tali said, his eyes half closed as he floated tehre... quite lost in a feeling the l'ortus hadn't had before. Very lost in it in fact. "You're getting a kick out of this aren't you?" Oh so glad the water was cold... how would this have looked on land? Tali knew... not so well. But the reaction was clear enough in Tali as his hands seemed to paw the water a slight. his whole body held in anticipation of Kerin's next move the purr rumbling over the water's waves.
One thing was for sure in Tali's mind. HE was getting a kick out of this. And as soon as his mind cleared, he was paying Kerin back tenfold! Just... a little... further! Come on! His mind yelled. It so wasn't fair Kerin didn't have a tail to pull. But Tali was certain, perhaps, tehre were other things perhaps a selkie might have to pull!

Kerin's fingers paused as Tali started to purr again, for a moment his grin shifting to more childlike delight at the sound. It made the man seem so much more like a cat... which made sense but at the moment he wasn't forcing his mind to be completely logical. Unlogical was much more fun.
The childishness disappeared a moment later as the man spoke, slyness taking it over again. This was... it was fun, in some sort of strange twisted way, being able to mess with someone like this. In most cases the reaction that some part of his mind was fairly sure the man was having would have sent him pretty far away in the water... but this time it didn't. He didn't know why, he wasn't going to think about why, it just didn't. Instead the feel of the thoughts he was keeping from actually coming into his mind about what his playing was actually doing to the man were sending tingles up and down his body, which only served to make him feel even more mischievous.
As the larger man spoke again his grin widened and he lifted his hand from the man's tail, other hand still playing with the tip. So he could mess with him by not doing anything now, could he? "Just a little bit." He said, the innocent note of his voice contrasting completely with the mischievous look on his face as he let the tips of his fingers tickle their way up the man's tail, stopping when they reached the end of it and playing with the fur where tail became spine.
"Still haven't seen any of that trouble I'm supposedly in." He added, feeling a little bit wicked for doing so as he continued to play his fingers over that particular part of the man's tail.

((I talked to Leona, and since so much time as gone by, we decided to start this back up a bit later than this post is. Basically, all the climbing and swimming finally caught up with Tali so they went back to the beach, and after getting back to town split to go separate ways. Nothing relationship wise changed from this point XP))

((Yeppers :3 Okay, Im back and ready to post! *laughs softly* Hope this ends up making sense. :3 ))
In the Region of Pisce, the settlement of Van Marrup...
Talimede at at the edge of the dock, inhaling the scents of the sea. Such a wonderful time he had in those waters with Kerin... He sighed softly, a bright blush coming across his cheeks as he ran over the events in his mind once more. It was the first time he felt he really did'nt have to hold back anything... darn it! Why did he have to get so tired! He was a l'ortus for goodness sakes! But, he supposed, even he had his limits too.
Kashin hadn't seemed surprised to hear Talimede's question either. In fact the harpy seemed to smile a bit. "Go out and get 'em tiger," Kashin had said, with a broad grin. "When you're ready, someday, I'm sure you can find me easy eh?" True enough, for the harpy wasn't exactly subtle. He had gave Talimede a slap on the back then.
"If you don;t find happiness kiddo then I'm gonna punch ya when I see ya again," Kashin had added. Talimede knew the harpy would be fine. Now he supposed, it was a matter of what the future held for him. He had told Kerin where he would be next, this exact location, and wondered if the selkie would come. Tali found himself hoping so.
He really... he really enjoyed his time with Kerin. And he found he wanted some more time like that. Aheheh... now he was getting all starry-eyed he was certain, as he watched the sun start to set.
It was the start of a new chapter in his life, he knew. And he looked forward to wherever it might lead.
((Phew! That took forever to type > >))

It was somewhat by coincidence and somewhat by... Well Kerin wasn't quite sure what else but that was mostly to blame for him being here.
Really he wasn't too bothered by it, and underneath it all he had a feeling that even without the other half of the reason he would have been coming here, if only to see Talimede.
Quite randomly he'd gotten into a conversation with someone when he had gone to send off his letter, and had ended up taking a package for them about two thirds of a days journey north of here. And once that had been delivered he wasn't sure that he would have been able to resist coming even he he had wanted to. Not that he had.
The seal cut through the water, streaming along as a black bullet just below the surface as he twisted around different obvious human things. Kerin had been to this settlement before, and remembered it well enough from those visits that he had a good idea just from counting docks where he was in relation to the town.
All in all it didn't take him long to find the relative area that he wanted, and he twisted to a stop, for a moment considering simply going down to get a headstart and leaping onto one of the docks. It would be considerably easier than climbing up in human form... except if he accidentally chose one with either frail wood or a person on it. Either would be squished; even with him as small as he was that was still over 400 pounds of flying seal to crash into something. As a hominid he was considerably less of a threat to life when jumping up somewhere.
And, he realized, it actually wasn't that far up to the docks. Only a few feet now, which made sense with it being at the peak of high tide.
Blowing bubbles, he twisted to be more or less upright, lightly propelling himself up to the edge of the nearest dock as he changed, fully hominid by the time his fingers closed around the rough wood of the dock, pulling himself up so that his forearms could rest at angles on the wood before glancing around, staring at the person there with dawning recognition before saying with a light grin "Well it's a good thing I decided not to just jump up. Would've crushed you."
