Casidaen takes the bandages from my arms.
"Everything's alright, now. We caught the person who caused the bar fight, that's all. Tino will need a new blanket, though. You know where one is that I could give him?"

Tino looked over at the blonde boy.
"Yes?" And then he added, "Oh, where have you brought him?"
While asking, the healer ran through a list of what he might need for the burnt wound on the imp, mentally making sure he had everything on him. He still needed to check the imp over anyway. Who knows what kind of injuries the imp have on him, being unpopular amongst many races.
With a bad attitude, too.

Rethen blinked and turned to Casidaen, a startled look on his face. He grinned suddenly and nodded.
"Of course!" he said happily before dashing behind the bar. Tedis grunted in response as the boy rummaged around behind the counter. "I think I have some of my private label back here too. The kind I keep on reserve for when I...oh bother that bottle is empty...for when I run a bit low on magic." He poked his head above the counter and sneezed.
"Tedis...clean out some of the dust here once in a while..." he muttered. He placed two bottles onto the counter and pulled out a clean and intact glass. Rethen pulled out a small stylus and carefully etched a rune for cooling onto the side of the glass. A press of his finger and the glass turned frosty. He poured the cordial into the glass and smiled.
"Here you are Mr. Erjwe!" Rethen said with a smile. He blinked. "A sedative? Was that the smell?"

"Ah yes! He can take mine. Here's my key," Casidaen drops the bandage rolls on the counter and takes his key out of his pocket handing it to the dragonette. "I'm used to the cold weather, so having my cloak will be fine."
He sighs and grabs a few rolls before heading to another injured dwarf. "Please return it when you are finished."
He can hear Rethen rummaging behind him and can't help but smile when the elf saunters next to him with the glass. He quickly finishes bandaging a few cuts on a blonde dwarf's face and stands up. Gingerly, he takes the glass from the elf and takes a sip. "Oh! This is delicious! Thank you!" Casidaen resists the urge to pat Rethen's head.
"A sedative? Was that the smell?"
He nods while gulping down the cordial and wipes his mouth when he's done. "It was a slow working one, so the odor spread to the whole entire inn. That's why you should be feeling sleepy soon. We're far enough to where he won't knock us out though."

I blink, surprised.
He... just gave me the key to his room.
"I'll be back in a minute then!"
I take the stairs two at a time and almost run into Tino, as he is speaking with Alaric.
"Tino? Casidaen said he'd lend you his blanket. I'm going to go get it from his room now." I brandish the room keys, then frown.
"Is... something wrong?"

Rethen made a face.
"I knew I smelt the burning wool. That explains the blanket..." The elf grumbled. "I should have gone to class that day and learned how to make and counter sedatives..." He sighed and stretched. "I suppose I should clear the rubbish piles..."
His grin firmly back in place, he dashed over to the first pile and drew a chalk circle around it. Then, with quick swipes, he sketched several runic patterns around the edge of the pile. He stood and took a deep breath, the silver glow appearing in his palms again.
"What once was old, is now reshaped. What is before, is not again," he murmured. Silver tendrils of magic swirled into the first pile and began changing the pile of rubble into a new set of chairs for the bar.
"At least this way they won't have to order new ones!" he laughed.

"He's in my room, sleeping well... not soundly." Alaric paused
"Oh how rude of me. I haven't introduced myself to you yet. I'm---- "
"Tino? Casidaen said he'd lend you his blanket. I'm going to go get it from his room now." the dragonette starts, "Is... something wrong?"
Sighing inwardly, Alaric runs his hand through his exposed hair, waiting until he could get a private word with this er hoc named Tino. He took this moment to scan the eared creature closely, I have seen some beast-men before, but never an er hoc. he looked at the long ears of this boy.
..What a beautiful creature this one.

"Maybe I could teach you when I get back from Facemoor? I'll have a lot of things to teach you then!" Casidaen finished up the last of his cordial and bandaged the last arm of a smaller dwarf and inhaled.
"Alright! Finally done!" He watched as the elf performed his alchemy and stood up to touch the new chairs. "That's very impressive alchemy you're doing! Have you ever considered going to Facemoor to learn more? I hear there's a large academy dedicated only to that!"

Hearing Caine approaching and feeling Alaric staring, Tino's brows tightened a little.
"Em, nothing, thank you," he said in some sort of a monotone. This is a little uncomfortable. "I'll be over in Alaric's room. The imp is there."
And then, remembering Casidaen,
"How is Casidaen, by the way?"

"Casidaen's alright. He's almost done healing the dwarves downstairs. He also seems to be hitting it off well with a forest elf that's in this inn."
I start walking past the two, towards Casidaen's room. "You need anything, Alaric, while I'm still on my feet?"

Alaric saw Tino motion to his room and he walked towards there immediately. He wanted to talk to Tino badly.
But then he heard Caine mention a forest elf. This was bad news for Alaric since his father was known throughout the High Elves and was equally famous with the Forest Elves. Alaric slumped a little, reflecting on the events that had happened. He had to avoid that forest elf.
"You need anything, Alaric, while I'm still on my feet?" he heard Caine say,
I need you to forget I casted magic, that's what.
He looked back at the er hoc and dragonette and gave a small smile, "No thanks, Caine."

The dark elf briefly patted the counter top and cleared his throat. "I better take these bandages back to Tino."
"I'll be back," he muttered quietly and collected the rolls of bandages in one arm. Ascending the stairs, he already heard conversation going on. Casidaen reached the top step with a loud creak and he grimaced. Surely they heard him coming up already.
He gently knocked on Alaric's door. "I've come to return your bandages. Thank you." He felt stiff and awkward. It seemed he just couldn't relax around the Er Hoc and he sighed mentally before walking back down the hall. He spotted the dragonette once more and remember that he had healed his feet some hours ago. "Caine, how are your feet doing"?

Alaric seems to pause, about to say something, then stops. He looks at the two of us and then says, "No thanks, Caine."
Right. I'm sure he was about to say something else.
"Alright."
I walk over to Casidaen's room, nervously fitting the key into the lock. It's not all that often that someone has just let me walk into their room; in fact, I can count the number of times on one hand. Depressing.
I open the door and go in. Not much in here, but then it IS an inn. I easily find the blanket and walk out of the room. As I'm shutting the door, Casidaen walks up to me.
"Eh? Oh, my feet are alright. Thanks for the help! Do you think things have calmed down enough for me to try for some sleep?"

He nods with pursed lips. "I think so. Most of the dwarves are scurrying back to their rooms, and the drunken ones are sobering up some. You should get some rest then." Casidaen points to the door. "Well, I'm going to head back down to help clean up some more." (ugh, so short. sorry!)

Receiving the bandages from Casidaen, Tino nodded.
"Thank you," he said as Casidaen left again.
Tino turned to look at the unconscious imp, sleeping soundly on Alaric's bed. He turned his enemy over to check for wounds. On his right arm there was the burnt by Alaric's fire magic. On the right there was a bleeding bruise...looking as if he had been hit by a solid object. Over his body were large tattoos and what seems like previous bruises.
The imp's went through a lot.
Pulling a stool by Alaric's bed, Tino sat down and started to treat the wounds. He notioned for Alaric to help.
"Would you please get me..." Then he noticed that the elf was pulling a slight sweat. "Oh, are you well?"

Alaric was surprised at the readiness of Tino to treat the imp who attacked him.
It must be how this er hoc was trained..
Tino pulled out a stool from the side of the room and Alaric did the same as he watched the er hoc in wonder.
How do I ask..., the elf had a headache just for thinking about it.
Alaric did not hear what Tino had said, but he was finally brought back to reality when he heard the healer say "Oh, are you well?"
Not at all. his muscles tensed, he was a bit ashamed of himself, this is not how a high elf should carry himself. He straightened up his body and asked the er hoc straight up,
"Do you know what I am?"

Eyeing Alaric curiously, Tino stated what he thought was the obvious.
"High elf, aren't you?" Then he remembered that the blonde boy was going to introduce himself. "Oh, and your name is? I believe you already heard mine."
He unclipped another bottle from his right, containing a purple powder used to treat magic burns.

Alaric sighed, he knew that this er hoc knew what he was, he just didn't want to believe it.
"Alaric is my name. And you are Sir Tino, correct?" Alaric said as he sat beside Tino and watched him dress the wound that he had inflicted on the imp.
"Sir Tino, would you kindly do me a small favor?" he paused, looking at Tino's eyes with great seriousness, "Could you please not tell anyone about me being here?"
Alaric then kneeled on the ground and bowed his head, "As a high elf warrior, with respect, I hope you grant this request." The young warrior, after more than a year was still used to formal gestures that he learned almost all his life.
Then he heard the imp groan a little, but his gaze was still concentrated at the young healers face.

Watching the elf kneel, it reminded Tino of a marriage proposal. The boy had an intense air about him, speaking to him in a very serious but not intimidating manner.
So this is how high elves are.
"Of course, if you wish so. Although I'm not sure if anyone else knew of your identity, my lips will remain sealed, I promise you that." Tino responded accordingly. "And 'Tino' is fine. You can get up now, I guess?" He wondered out loud and smiled a bit, "so that you could please get me a glass of water?"
Tino realized that he'll need to work on the imp real fast --- the diluted sedative was still in the air.

Relieved with the er hoc's answer, Alaric gave a sigh of relief.
"Oh of course, a glass of water." The young elf stood up and headed to the bathroom opposite the bed.
Going inside Alaric looked around the primitive bathroom and scanned for things he could use. He headed towards the faucet where he saw a single glass on top if it. He looked at the inside of the glass,
A bit dirty...
Turning the knob on the faucet the water started out with very little pressure and it continued that way as he filled up the glass halfway. And then the water stopped. Alaric heard a faint dry sound coming from the faucet.
"Tino, something is wrong with the faucet. I only filled the glass halfway." he then returned beside Tino and let him see the glass filled with water half-way.
