The attacker's image flashed into Tino eyes.
Imp!
Then as the imp snapped his fingers,
Lamia.
Tino's brows tightened. He snatched his blankets and threw it towards the imp, certain that he would be attacked with elemental magic.
As soon as the blanket was flowing in midair, the er hoc charged in, blade first.

Nyosik. Askyre cursed. Inhaling, the imp prepared himself before releasing the built up air at the blankets, the air rushing past one index finger, igniting immediately before scorching the offending blanket. Acting nimbly, he deflected the hazardous blade that the er hoc was lunging blindly before swiveling around the poor fighter.
"So... mind telling me why you were attacking me, Beast Man?" Askyre spat, the charred blanket crumpled at the Er Hoc's feet. Their breathing was even and steady, the imp's enemy holding still as a blade was pressed lightly to his throat. Askyre was grateful the boy was unable to see his eyes, as his vision was beginning to cloud slightly.
It seems the herbs aren't working as well as I'd anticipated.. I need to get out of here fast, and pass out somewhere safe...
He turned sharply towards the door, detecting a nearby presence. Tighting his hold on the younger male, Askyre pulled him closer.
"Now listen here. If you make so much as a noise to alert anyone," At this, the imp tightened his grasp momentarily, for effect, "I will slice your throat in a way that no one will be able to repair."
Thankfully, his vision was staying at a constant now, rather than the rapid blindness Askyre was enduring moments earlier.

Smelling the fumes from the room nearby Alaric went closer. As he peered in, slowly opening the door while covering his mouth with his cloak, he saw a terrible scene. An imp had a tight grip on the er hoc and pressed a blade on the little one's throat.
"Now listen here. If you make so much as a noise to alert anyone," At this, the imp tightened his grasp momentarily, for effect, "I will slice your throat in a way that no one will be able to repair." the imp said in an angry tone.
Alaric could see that there was a slight tiredness in the imp's voice.
The effect of the poison maybe..
In the back of his mind his only safe plan was to use his fire magic. But oh now he hated magic. And by using magic it would raise questions of how he really wasn't a human. but the er hoc was in trouble, he was struggling within himself.
But he decided, he readied the fire spell. He just had to wait until the imp was looking away.

"Well...at least tonight you won't work alone!" Rethen laughed happily, slamming a tankard into the pile with joyful abandon. He was enjoying himself, sending the broken pewter pieces flying into the neat piles he had made.
"What brought you to Miyoor Mr. Erjwe?" he asked as he sent a particularity large tankard sailing into the wall. "We have received so many new faces today! Your esteemed healingship, the tall scaly fellow, the cloaked person, and Tedis said something about a boy with bunny ears...." Rethen trailed off and let a thoughtful look cross his face. It had been some time since any number of non dwarven visitors had come to the mining town. It was not exactly a touristic hot spot. The sudden appearance of so many new persons was a bit unnerving.
"All the visitors are nice at least!" the boy chirped happily. He was smiling, but his eyes were flashing dangerously. The smell of brimstone was still in the air, along with the subtle smell of burned wool that was mixed with the smell of lager. He sent a tankard skittering into a pile before looking over his shoulder towards the stairs.

Family bonds, huh? I wonder what race Alaric is, if he has as strong family values as it sounds.
Well. Since the bar seems to be mostly in order, now, I decide to follow Alaric's example and try to get some sleep.
I walk up the stairs and down the hall, only to stop short as I find Alaric opening the door to Tino's room.
What's he doing? Is there a reason that he asked about them earlier?
I carefully walk up behind him, trying to see past.
Nyosik! He's taller than me...
After a quick decision, I put my hand on his back, just enough pressure to let him know I'm there.

Blade still, Tino glared into the imp's eyes despite his audience. A smooth, cold voice surfaced from his tight throat.
"That is, if I don't kill you first. Imp."
He narrowed his eyes. The sedative is certain to be taking its effect. He would now get the imp to talk..and to talk...until he falls unconscious. Or so he hope that's how smooth it would go.
Having a senior around you really is a troublesome thing.

Alaric had the spell ready, and waited until the right moment. That was when he felt a slight pressure on his back and this surprised him. He let go of the spell and managed to aim it a bit towards the target. It passed through the imp's arm just slightly but it was enough to leave some damage. As Alaric was quite satisfied he had helped, he charged in the room reaching for the katanas on his back and showing the imp he meant business.
He then glanced at the dragonette that was left near the door way.
And Alaric realized. The dragonette saw him cast a spell. No longer could he say he was of human race.
Jince...

The hairs upon Askyre's neck tingled, standing on end. Authoritatively, not losing eye contact with the Er Hoc, the imp forced themselves around, now glaring past his captive's stony gaze to the tall intruder. The older male managed to keep his expression unwavering as he recognized this person's attire as the person he pilfered from earlier that same night.
He laughed a little at the irony.
"Oh, what now? Have you summed your guardian giant? I don't understand what all this fuss is about..." Askyre loosened his grip a little, allowing the smaller male to fall away from his body a little, air able to pass between them again as he pushed the younger into the aggressor.
"Really, now. I don't understand why everyone is attacking me!"
Askyre slid down to the ground, eyes wide with anticipation as he rolled away from the seeming allies. He raised his arm, and prepared to attack.
"GAHH!" The imp cried out, letting out several painful gasps as a powerful spell connected with his arm. Falling backwards, Askyre came to a realization that he was outnumbered, and highly vulnerable. Accepting his fate, he simply lay there, clutching his bleeding arm with his bruised and strained one, taking deep, full breaths as he awaited the appearance of his killer into his vision.
Should I still have vision... by.. then....

Was that magic? Just making me more curious about him... Oops. I think I distracted him. Ah well, I'm glad he wasn't planning on hurting Tino.
Alaric charges into the room as he reaches for his blades, I can now see into the room.
An imp pushes Tino at Alaric and wobbles before falling down. I walk in and over to the three.
"What happened? Are you alright, Tino?" I look worriedly at him, and then at the imp laying on the floor. "What's an imp doing in your room?"
Wonder if I should do something about the filthy thing. I then remember the popping sound I heard earlier. That means he's the one that caused the bar fight...
"Want me to throw him out or something?"

In case the imp still had some consciouness, Tino pressed his blade against the throat of the fainted imp and used his left hand to check his pulse.
Fainted.
He withdrew his blade, tucked it beneath his cloak and turned to the bystanders. He recognized the elf he'd exchanged silent greetings before, and Caine. He froze a little, the fight that had just happened escaping his thoughts.
"Um...I'm fine."
And then remembering the imp,
"....We need to hide him from the dwarves."
Tino recognized that the dwarves aren't going to be friendly towards the imp, and that the fellow was certainly weak from starvation. Although he would've liked him dead...
Tino sighed.

Alaric put his blades back where they belonged and looked at the unconscious imp.
"....We need to hide him from the dwarves." the er hoc remarked.
The elf immediately took the imp and carried him by his arms. The imp was very light, no doubt had days of travelling without food or water.
Alaric motioned towards Caine to come closer, "Help me with this."
"Er hoc, will the poison kill him?" the elf asked, still looking at the imp's body, the place where his spell hit did more damage than he thought.

Why does he act that around me? It's not like I'm going to bite him... probably.
I shudder as Alaric picks the imp up. I myself have never cared for the creatures, and wouldn't mind too much if whatever Tino gave him killed him.
I turn back to Tino. "Looks like your room needs straighting, too. You need me to get you anything?"

"No." Tino turned to open the windows and let the air in. He didn't want to fall asleep too early. "But he will sleep well tonight, and wake up with a headache." Tino smiled. "Please put him in a room...I will take care of him soon."
He then turned to Caine, still a little stiff. But the dragonette doesn't seem so threatening now that he's just fought with an imp.
"Um..."
He looked at his blanket, now a black smelly mess on the ground. But no, that wasn't the priority. He snatched up the three rolls of bandages on the bed and handed it to Caine.
"Would you help me deliver these to Casidaen?" He asked, ears flopping nervously.

I carefully take the bandages from Tino.
"If that's what you want." I smile and bow a little, spreading my wings slightly to keep my balance.
"I'm guessing he's still downstairs? Is there anything else you want?"

Alaric sighed a bit pondering on what to do with an unconscious imp's body. He decided to give th imp his room. He dragged the body to the hallway and as fast as possible, slipped him in the last room in the hallway, his room. Finally throwing the imp on his bed he sat on the floor, a bit tired. The elf's slim body wasn't made for tugging around people, especially thieves. He looked at the imp on his bed, "At least someone will be comfortable on this bed."
After catching his breath, Alaric started to search the imp's pockets and found a few golden coins.
He snickered a bit "This is payment for tugging you around."
Alaric walked outside and closed the door shut, he started walking down the hallway for the nth time tonight.

Tino blinked, feeling a little weird. The dragonette was being very....uh, helpful?
Not recognizing Caine's efforts to befriend him, he looked down at the floor, confused at what to think of the situation.
"Uh....No."
And then,
"Thank you," he said in a small voice, and turned for the door.

He smiles at Rethen's question. "I was stopping here for supplies before I head off to Itis and Facemoore." The way the boy spoke was simply adorable. He was so formal, much more formal than Casidaen.
Casidaen wiped away some beads of sweat forming on his forehead. He's done nearly a dozen dwarves now. He exhaled heavily and looked up at the staircase, wondering if anything had gone wrong. He did remember smelling some sedative earlier but didn't think much of it since he was too busy healing.
He leaned against the counter a bit to rest and looked over at Rethen who had gone quiet. He looks bothered..
"Er, Rethen, do you mind getting me some cold cordial?"

Well, I suppose that's a slightly better reaction then cringing whenever I come near.
"You're welcome, Tino. I'll get these to Casidaen and come back up... maybe with a new blanket?" I notice for the first time the charred remains of a blanket on the floor.
Hope he opens up a bit more. Being so quiet really gets people wanting to to take advantage of him or something... I pause. Even you? A little voice in my head asks.
Sighing, I walk out the door, down the stairs, and find Casidaen talking to an elf at the bar.
"Hello? I have something for you here..."

Walking down the hallway Alaric saw Caine go downstairs and he was carrying some bandages with him. Following behind him was the er hoc, looking quite troubled.
"Excuse me er hoc." he blurted out, unsure of whether the er hoc heard him.
What was he going to ask the er hoc anyway? Why the need to talk to him so badly? This was one of the few times his mind was a blank. He just didn't want anyone knowing his identity. After a long time of travelling in hiding, he didn't want his adventure to be stopped. If the news reaches of a high elf here, his father might find him and knowing his father, he had many connections. He couldn't let that happen.
He wanted to adventure... was that so hard?

His attention is called to the dragonette and he looks curiously at what Caine is holding.
"Ah! Thank you! I was in need of these!" He takes them from the dragon boy and smilies slightly. "Is everything alright upstairs? I heard commotion and smelt sedative being used.."
