The look on Janus's face as he turned back to look at me was priceless.
I tilt my head before sitting up and tugging my hair out of my face. "Hmmm? Hungry? I suppose I am. I haven't eaten more than jerky, berries and nuts since I entered the Voragimines." I stand up and flick some dirt off my clothes before walking to stand next to Janus.
I smile at him, only a few inches away again. "So how are you going to get me fed?"

He's.. really close again. Janus frowned, and turned to look at the mountain trail. It was a long way there. A lot of rocks. Possibly hostile creatures. Pretty annoying... So, there was only one way then. he glanced to Raziel again.
"Get your bag. Unless you plan to return here later." Without me, he added mentally. Rocks are not comfortable. I'm not spending anymore time here than I absolutely need to.
It wasn't his preferred way of traveling... but it certainly beat trudging up and down mountain trails early in the morning. Without really thinking about it, he started playing with a lock of his own hair, giving Raziel an expectant look.

Hmm? So we're not eating too close by, then. That's alright; this is the most interesting thing to happen since I came to these mountains!
"Sure thing, Janus. I'll be right back!" Winking at the man I move into the cave. Following the path, I quickly make it to the large chamber I'd found Janus in the night before and gather my things.
Successfully finding the bottles of honey mead and stuffing them in my bag, I retrace my steps and out into the bright sunlight again. Janus is standing exactly where he was before I'd entered the cave, and I grin at him.
"I'm all set! Where to?"

By the time Raziel returned, Janus' expression had managed to turn into a full-scale brood. One could practically see the gloomy little raincloud hovering over the troll's head... metaphorically speaking, that is.
They were polar opposites, in a way. Especially considering Raziel's beaming grin. Janus looked at him in silence for a moment, before looking away and removing the glove on his left hand. Teleporting more than one person wasn't too hard for him. He didn't need to chant, or make any weird magic signs, all that was needed was some sort of physical contact.
That very thing he'd been trying to avoid for a while now. The troll cast a glance at the elf. Then at his hands. "..." Raziel didn't wear gloves. But... "Let's go." Without any further ado, Janus grabbed the elf's wrist. And in the blink of an eye, they were both gone from the slope, now standing beneath the branches of a solid, likely ancient, tree at the foot of a mountain.
Janus let go of Raziel's wrist, and promptly slipped his glove back on. Glancing up at the apples hanging from the tree's branches. Well, they looked like apples.. red apples, some with a purple tint. "Fresh fruit is good in the morning." he said sullenly, before picking an apple for himself.

My grin starts to falter at the expression on Janus's face. Nyosik... Am I really being that much a bother, or something?
Before I can think of it further, Janus snatches my wrist and...
...Brief discontinuity...
Teleport? He can do that? I watch as Janus steps away from my and puts the glove on that I'd somehow managed to not realize he'd taken off, and walks to the tree.
"Hnn... Yeah. Fruits pretty good, actually. I stride up next to him and glance at him for a second before reaching up and plucking one of the apples and looking at it.
An apple? It's a little purplish. Wonder if these kind only grow wherever this place is. Maybe I can try to get my hands on a couple and bring them with me.
I glance at the silent Janus again and bite into the fruit, relaxing at the pleasant tartness and delicately licking a little juice of the corner of my lips.
"Thanks, Janus! This tastes wonderful!"

"I'm sure it does.." he mumbled in response, biting his own apple. Janus wasn't looking in the direction of the elf, instead he was studying the horizon with a deep frown.
He really didn't get that elf. And more importantly, he didn't get himself. Usually, he would've left any person this persistent a long time ago. But now he showed Raziel this special tree. This tree... he glanced up at one apple, hanging from a branch. It's color now more purple than red. And he finally remembered. The troll was very, very close to let out a cuss word for his own forgetfulness.
Hoping for the best, he turned around, glancing at Raziel. And yes, the elf definitely had one of the purplish apples. He sighed, the frown giving some room for a resigned look. "It's probably a little late to say this now, but don't eat the purple ones." That said, he took the apple from Raze's hands and threw it away over his own shoulder, quickly replacing it with a normal, red apple.
"I forgot. They're alcoholic."

I glance at the red apple now shoved into my hand and up at Janus.
"Hmmm... I think I might have started to figure that out for myself, really." I tug on the white streak in my hair and smile at him. "It take a bit to get me drunk, though, so it should be fine!"
I quickly eat the apple the troll had given me and then grin wickedly at the man before reaching up and deliberately choosing one that's even more towards purple than the one I'd had before.
Sitting down at the base of the tree, I munch on the fermenting fruit and look up at Janus, daring him to do something about it.

Janus stared in surprise at the elf's reaction. Was Raziel... challenging him? Frowning again, he let out an indignant 'hmph'. "Fine. Do as you like. I don't really care." The troll turned around again, facing the horizon, taking another bite of the red apple. He chewed, glanced at the apple, swallowed.
Now having gone back to his usual uncaring, bordering on nonchalant, expression, Janus glanced back at Raziel. "Just don't cling on me. I hate drunks." He glared back towards the horizon, inwardly cursing the situation. Why did he have to pick this particular spot? There were lots of fruit trees around...
Eh, he'll probably get sick of me soon enough. He won't complain if I leave.

Blah. He didn't take the bait? Ah well. As I continue to eat the fruit in my hands, I pick out the seeds from the core of the first one.
"Don't worry, Janus. It takes a bit more than this to get me drunk." I stand up and walk over to up lean over a little so I'm looking up at him from below. "You alright there, Janus? Do you always act a little off, or is it because I'm here?"
I'm betting it's because of me. Wonder what happens if I keep pushing him... I grin mentally at the thought of a bit more fun.
